Stevenson is hoping that Ward wins because he knows that Kathy Duva is not going to let Kovalev fight him! Ward will not have a HBO contract after the Kovalev fight, so he can sign an extension, and fight I don't know who, or go to Showtime and fight Stevenson, Beterbiev, DeGale, or Badou Jack!

HBO will have no choice to seal another payday by keeping their favorite (new P4P no.1) fighter in their house. Otherwize, where would he go, all other channels are affiliate with Showtime=PBC=Haymon. Would Jay-Z, says no to a "Canelo type" HBO contract, and agree to sign up a partnership deal with (purse bid competitor) Haymon, under the PBC brand. Would he do such move?
*HBO are wise enought to keep their favorite American in their house, and Hov-S.O.G will take the best business decision once they'll put their own conditions on that HBO contract.
Stevenson always mention, he wants all the major titles, which are required to become the Undisputed Champion of the division. Kovalev or Ward is no problem for Stevenson. But using the name of HBO as a sheld to block any process of making a fight happen like Kovalev did, is the major problem.
