Kovalev may be a little underpaid, but he's not the problem here. So many fighters are used to getting paid 1-2m that they think those are low purses. They're not. Welcome to the real world. Few fighters actually get more than 2mill.

Kov is not from the right country to make big bucks. Ward is piggy backing off the American Olympic medalist accomplishment to get his purses. Nobody would pay him 2m for Paul Smith if he wasn't.

^Precisely. Glad that wasn't lost on everyone. Hunter really works in the cerebral. He smells tension, sees Kovalev is nervous. His comments aren't going to turn team Kov against each other but if it makes for an awkward conversation, an uncomfortable evening, anything to cause that cortisol hormone to rise, he's done his job.

If you've seen the movie "Pumping Iron", a young Arnold Schwarzenegger has breakfast with competitor Lou Ferigno before the bodybuilding competition. Arnold acts nervous as the meal starts. Then says, "Are you OK Lou? What's wrong? You'll do OK. It's just a shame you didn't hit the timing. A couple more weeks and you would have been perfect."
And that was all it took.

Check out the main page articles. Was posted real early Thurs morning. The most intriguing thing to come out so far. Fascinating to me. Follow it up with the press conference from today, which was an awkward horror show.

          Watched this earlier

Loved it, Virgil throwing darts the entire time, little digs of truth to get under Jacksons & Kovs skin before the fight. Don't think it'll work though I think Kov gives zero f.ucks

Starting to get amped for Saturday

Kovalev will always accept whatever is offered to him. You can never accuse him of pricing himself out. That's why it's not hard to figure out who ducked who in the Stevenson case.

Slap/pushes his face at the weigh in, causing a near brawl which every media outlet reported and ended up getting 310,000 PPV buys, solid numbers for a fight that zero buzz and predicted to be a snore fest. That little incident by Hopkins probably accounted for half the PPV buys.

Kovalev and Ward need a brawl. I don't want to see a brief state down, followed by a smile from Kovalev and a handshake, I want to see Drago and Apollo Creed pushing each other followed by havoc by both camps! With social media now? Shiiiiiit that will get a boost in sales for sure.
kovalev and ward shouldn't have to resort to those tactics to the sell the fight.the match up its self should be enough not some pro wrestling style stunt.there doesn't seem to be any type of buzz for kovalev vs ward and its because of terrible promotion.
