What magnitude? Yes it's a great fight against 2 top pfp fighters but neither fighter is a star or big draw in their own right. It's a huge fight for us diehard fans but most casuals don't even know that this fight is taking place this sat.

The break even for ppv upside is much lower for him than for Ward, I'm sure. I'd guess with 200k buys he'd see some upside but not near enough to match Wards guarantee.

How much did he make against Pascal? If the money is there he absolutely should get more money than what he did in Pascal but yet again perhaps Ward would not budge any lower than $5 million so Kovalev ends up taking a bit less. Idk, tough call, I'd probably be a bit upset with Duva if I knew Ward was getting so much more money. But like you said, could be upside as well. Personally, I'd like to see fights like this where the winner gets a bonus. Make it $4 for Ward, $2m for Kovalev, winner gets the extra million (and they can split whatever upside there is, if any).
