IF (notice the hypothetical) Ward wins convincingly, I wonder if Kellerman, in the post fight interview, will mention to Ward how Sanchez has been talking "real slick" lately in an attempt to plant the seed for a Ward-GGG fight. I'd like to see GGG's camp reaction if a "tangible" demand for a fight vs Ward develops (I know weight would be an issue). How they'd react if they start to feel the same popular pressure that Canelo has at the moment. IMO, GGG's camp won't do any move that might hurt the payday they have been working for the last 4-5 years.

Anyone who understands Boxing and the increased speed as weights get lower in equal level fighters. But of course they didnt account for that on whatever video games you attained your athletic prowess from. You fat cuckold bumComment

Huh? Or maybe the guy just thinks that Kovalev wins. It's not like he's the only one. Not everything revolves around Golovkin, man. Dude gets asked the question cos he used to train Sergei - he not supposed to give his take?
Oh, and Hopkins - Tarver was pretty big. $5 mil for Bernard ($3.5 mil for Tarver) hard to see where he would have got that at 160. That's not to belittle the move or the win, but yeah. It's almost never just for greatness.
And Tarver/Hoplins $8.5 mil purse isn't blockbuster. Ward-Kovalev purse will be about the same. This is a great fight for boxing fans but it's not a blockbuster fight. Eight figures for the B-side is a blockbuster fight but people around here call that low-balling.Comment

Go back and read Sanchez statements before the Barrera fight. He was saying Ward has lost it and Barrera would beat him. Ok, that's normal for trainers to say. But go watch the post fight conference and listen to Sanchez throw Barrera under the bus after the fight. I've never seen a trainer to do that. That's why Barrera left him. He's never done that to one of his fighters after they lost. That's how I know it's personal with Ward. Show me another time Sanchez has done that to his fighter after a loss. Show me any trainer doing that to his fighter after a loss

And Hopkins - Tarver was almost certainly the biggest money fight available to Bernard, and at the time I believe the second largest payday of his career (behind ODLH) He'd also just lost twice at 160 and AFAIR there was really no big names there left for him to face anyway. Again, this ain't to discredit Hopkins in any way - but it ain't sacrilegious to recognise that 'daring to be great' is almost always 'daring to be rich'.Comment
