Depends on how the fight goes as to whether a rematch makes sense. If its close and entertaining, with no clear winner, then definitely, lets see it again, and again until we get a clear winner.

If one dominates the other to the point where a rematch would be same-old, same-old (eg Kov/Hopkins, Cotto/Alvarez), then no real point. Hopefully the fight itself determines whether a rematch is called for, whoever wins.

If its a quick and decisive KO for either guy, not sure - depends how the fight looked leading up to the KO, and how damaging the KO is. If its a Martinez/Williams type KO, then again, probably no rematch needed.

I'm not sure which scenario I prefer more; a clear win that establishes the p4p champ, or a close, either way kind of fight that gives us a great new rivalry.

Chavez fought the most tomato cans ever. His record is padded with Salka type of fighters. His 50th fight was against a fighter with a record of 1-15. Chavez defended his titles against a bunch of bums. He constantly fought guys who had 1 or 2 fights or were making their debut. He's lucky he didn't fight in this era with that opposition because he would get ripped apart by everyone on social media and the internet.

            YUP! http://www.foxsports.com/boxing/stor...o-duran-081015

So you have Fl0mo favorite #2, Andre Ward, admitting GGG is better both offensively and defensively, than Fl0mo favorite #1's, Floyd himself's, top five fighter of all time.

It is Fl0mo kryptonite on the GGG issue. There's nothing they can say after that. Floyd thinks Chavez Sr. is the 4th best fighter of all time, and Ward thinks GGG is even better.

right, so..... Golovkin has better defense than Mayweather ?

we have a guy call " boxing logic "..... who is running around telling everyone that Golovkin has better defense than Mayweather LMAO

            o, k, then

And why would a fighter called the Krusher need a rematch clause anyway ???

Bro, learn to read. Better defense (and offense) than Floyd's top five boxer of all time Chavez Sr., according to Andre Ward. Not better defense than Floyd himself... Read it again.

I agree amigo, Chavez Sr. is awesome. I'm just pointing out Andre Ward said GGG was better offensively and defensively, than Chavez Sr. If you disagree, take it up with Ward. Personally I'd say Chavez might have been faster than GGG. Defense I'd have to study myself to say. GGG has more power, might also be rangier. Both all time great fighters. Hopefully El Pojo Rojo stops ducking GGG.

                      your knickers are showing bro

how on earth could you possibly compare Golovkin to Chavez?

there is only 1 criteria for greatness..... always has been, always will be..... NOTHING else matters

that is why Froch asked the question " who did he beat "?
