We've got a bunch of clueless posters here.

He's lucky he didn't fight in this era with that opposition because he would get ripped apart by everyone on social media and the internet.
The only thing you're right about is that his recordis padded, but people(including you) don't give him credit for those fights which is rightfully. Everyone considers him the best ever for the important and good fighters he beat, olympic whitaker, greg haugen, gold medalist meldrick taylor and he beat edwin chapo rosarion when rosario was the #1 pound for pound in the world, he beat hector camacho when camacho was at his best, twice stopped roger mayweather the "mexican assasin" when mayweather was knocking everyone out, even mike tyson has said that chavez was the best fighter of his generation. 99% of recent and active Mexican fighters consider him their idol..even when he was over the hill he gave de la hoya problems
and almost stopped him in the 2nd fight ..your hate is understandable, many people look up to him and almost worship him...and just to recap, he is seen as an idol and role model in today's media and internet in mexico and south america, as well as roberto duran, constantly mexican boxing analysts are comparing canelo ,chavez jr , oscar valdez, gallo estrada, zurdo ramirez(the younger generation) on how they can be more like chavez sr, you dont see that here in the states with mayweather or ray leonard or joe louis or hagler or hearns, the media and internet today just consider them the all time greats , only ali is top 5 best ever from the u.s

Hey its not only me putting him top 5, jim lampley mentioned it, mike tyson said chavez was the best fighter of his generation, and i wouldn't consider Greg haugen, roger mayweather, edwin rosario, macho camacho, de la hoya, pernell withaker, meldrick taylor easy opposition.

Yep, a few...not all fighters in the world are considered great, Chavez beat the great fighters he fough, that's why he is considered today what he is, a legend...nobody gives him credit for the unknowns he fought and they shouldn't because those fights don't make you a legend they are just to stay active, everyone knows Chavez for the names he beat

“There is a rematch clause,” Duva confirmed. “The only way it’s not immediate is if both fighters agree for it not to be immediate. But we will not be agreeing to that. It will be immediate.”

I can't believe how ****** people can be!

The "immediate rematch" clause may, very well, mean nothing at all -- in case the clause doesn't include a precise time frame for the rematch and a precise legal financial liability for the party refusing to proceed accordingly... In other words, for instance: "if you don't enter the ring for the rematch in 3-4-5 (whatever) months, you are liable to pay X million dollars" a.s.o...
