    1. Yes,,, winner will be ranked higher than Calzaghe..

    2. Calzaghe could hang with either one, and could beat either one, especially Ward

Larry, that's a downright lie. Outside of Bhop, Kessler, Lacy, Eubank

Reid, Sheika, Woodhall, Brewer, Veit, Mitchell, Bika were all top 10 super middleweights at the time Joe fought them. You can argue about their quality (especially Veit) but you're statement is wrong.

To answer the thread the winner IMO would rank higher than Calzaghe.

Jones, Lacy are as good wins if not better than Abraham and Rodriguez.

Does a win over Krusher move him alongside Joe or above him ? No, Calzaghe would have schooled Kovalev.
we rarely agree, but thats a great post ^

Kessler: should have been DQ'd so doesn't count.

Abraham: coming off 2 defeats, one very bad against Froch, but still good win.

The one where Calzaghe landed double the amount Hopkins did and the one where Hopkins kept acting attempting to have his opponent docked several times because he knew he couldn't beat him legitimately.

The scores were something like 117-111, 9-3 read and weep puppy dog.

In 46 fights did he beat even 6 top 10 contenders=NO!!!!

so please explain how Ward beating Kovalev would not make him greater then Joe when Ward in the Super 6 alone beat more top contenders then Joe did in his entire damn career
Not that I necessarily disagree with Ward or possibly Kov being ranked above him after a big win this weekend, but I'm pretty sure he beat more than 6 top 10 contenders.

Hopkins, Kessler, Bika, Mitchell, Lacy, Brewer, Eubank, Woodhall, Reid were all champions and then you've got contenders like Sheika, Veit, etc.

Not a great resume by any means, but not quite as poor as some are making it out to be.

Ward still won't have the numbers in all, but he can certainly get there and would be getting close with a win over Kov...he just doesn't have all the surrounding fluff that Calzaghe has on his.
                Kessler
                Froch
                Abraham
                Dawson
                Bika

Anyway, don't really care that much either way. I just wanna see a cracking fight this weekend!
