Talking about the UFC belt v. a boxing belt...and in the public's opinion, I'd say the UFC belt generally means more.

Floyds a cherry picker who gets his opponents to wear big gloves so he doesn't get hurt, drains fighters like Canelo so he's weak, fights much smaller guys like Marquez, waits until they're shot before he'll take them on, grabs hold of fighters while using his elbow in their throat or face, and lastly, he hardly throws any punches because he's far too safety first.

Floyd is a chicken heart. He doesn't have any heart what so ever.

I think Connor is for sure a bigger spectacle and hot trend than Floyd, would is and never will be. People describe watching connor mcgregor fight live as a "transcending experience". I just think Connor Mcgregor is hitting a celebrity status Floyd never hit.

Most sports analysts would agree as well. The fact Mcgregor is KOing people and Floyd was UDing people doesn't help floyd either.

Mcgregor is much more willing to go out of his comfort zone and weight class to fight larger fighters.

First of all there is a much larger talent pool in boxing, making becoming a world champion in boxing much more difficult than MMA. What division in MMA has the equivalent of Thurman/Garcia/Spence/Porter/Bradley/Brook or Fury/Joshua/Wilder/Wlad/Povetkin/Ortiz or even Frampton/Selby/Santa Cruz/Vargas all in the same division?

MMA divisions are generally 2-3 really good fighters deep at any one time. A "stacked" division in MMA is 4-5 deep.

McGregor is good, but he's fighting a different level of talent than Floyd had to deal with over 20 YEARS..

The hate for Floyd is real. All ggg and PAC fans. Comparing Connor to GGG would be more realistic. 20 years moving up 5 weight classes countinously fighting bigger men. I give Connor credit for moving up in weight but let's be honest he drained himself terribly to fight smaller guys. I won't speak about ppv sales or money but he has a marketing ability no doubt but to compare careers there is no comparison and if you think Connor is better than Floyd just plain racist n hate but carry on gals n gents.

That's a different argument, because the argument is more about the fighters than the belts.

Velazquez only had 2 successful defenses of the UFC title.

Klitschko's had over 20 successful defenses of various heavyweight titles.

You can't compare Connor to Floyd in terms of financial gains from fighting nor can you compare their accomplishments. But what is comparable is their impact on their sport & drawing power.
