Vargas vs Pacquiao was a Draw / Pac's worst performance

First things first, Stephen A. Smith should never be allowed to commentate boxing again.

Second, to see a Twitter lower thirds graphic and TR commentary promoting it as a respectable scoring method turned this bout into a rainbow brite farce from public ownership

Third, I dont even recall Pac accomplishing traditional combos. When? No inside game, was just waiting for Vargas to attack, the defending Champ.

Sure Pac got a 2nd round Flash, but what after that? Pac had eaten 5 signifant rights throughout rounds clean, and both continued the work...

Also how can Pac acknowledge Crawford at 140 as no problem, yet doesnt bring up other

I totally agree on the Stephen A. Smith comment. He was trying to bad-mouth the great Prince Naseem Hamed but put Manny Pacqiauo down instead. "One guy was always humble, the other was arrogant/whatever until he got knocked out." From process of elimination, he was calling Pacquaio arrogant? Bit harsh.

No, Pac's performance was horrid. He was at least confident against Floyd, attempted furries, however against Vargas, no Rounds 4 or 6 style attempts. The irony of people downplaying Vargas as easy work... how was this performance easy work.? Pac's based scoring was on counterring strictly. Did Vargas state Pac blew him out? "Chess match"

No you guys can appreciate how Floyd schooled #48

But Valdez and Magadeleno were good scraps, as well as Zhimimg

Yeah you're a f**king bonafide ****** and should have your boxing fan card revoked immediately if you think that **** was a draw.

That said Manny hasn't just lost one step...he has lost two IMO. Which is still borderline amazing since that is still good enough to outclass a top ten belt holding welter who is 10 years younger.

Steve Kim used the best analogy pre-fight, and that was that Manny's like a overpowering flame throwing pitcher who is at the end of his career and has lost a lot of speed off the fastball -- but is still veteran savvy enough to get guys out.

That fastball was just good enough to get Jessie Vargas out...but getting guys like Crawford, Spence, Thurman, etc. would probably be a different story.

It was an okay performance but very pedestrian as far as Manny performances go. Credit to Vargas as well...he fought a very strong first half of the fight. Ended up wilting in the second half, though.

Pac has been spooked since Marquez 4, no charging lead left. Since Algieri? Nothing on Floyd either as in Rd 1 Mayweather was attempting Marquez's shot with the right. Same goes for Vargas. Pac's conservative performance.

If we're referring to post-fights after losing...the statement is not wrong.

Hamed was absolutely humble when Barrera beat him. Manny...nothing but excuses before Marquez put him to sleep.

If we're referring to general personality then the statement couldn't be more wrong.

Marquez gets floored 3 times in Rd 1 with Pacquiao I....

Vargas gets flashed once... both play "chess match" and its the most boring non explosive Pac without combo attempts...

He does flurry shadowing for what? Sell a fight? At least he tried against Floyd. This performance Cmon man... Draw
