Maidana took the risk that he could perform well against Mayweather, even if he lost and be getting paid more after the fight, if he fights well because people will want to see him fight again.

    I don't blame Jacobs because he doesn't have to time to rebuild his career after this fight. If he loses this fight then he will probably never get another big fight.

    He's only 30. What other big opportunities are there going to be for him? Canelo's not going to fight him. Saunders even turned him down multiple times. He's already talked about moving up to 168, if he loses that's a fresh start regardless.

    This is Danny's pinnacle moment. This fight is an opportunity for him to break through to the next side. With all the hype surrounding Golovkin, if Danny were to knock him off, it vastly surpasses the alleged purses involved with this fight. It also vastly surpasses the '******ity' he's protecting by not taking it and waiting for something better to come along. Golovkin wouldn't have pulled this **** if he had gotten the opportunity to get Martienz or even Sturm in the ring.

      hope that cleared that up ^^
      You obviously arent a business person

      Without a guarantee, K2/GGG are exposed to the risk of the promotion and might as well hang out for a share of the PPV

      That being said, if I was K2, I'd accept the $10 mill subject to:

      a. it being secured by bank guarantee (or similar);

      b. the full amount being transferred into my account before I step into the ring;

      c. WADA compliant testing; and

      d. the fight taking place in May as it makes no difference whatso****ingever which Mexican holiday it takes place on and September is just another stalling tactic from Team BS

          you should have just left it there

          For the record, you used 3 different excuses in that post, NONE of which are valid.

              How did the contract that Zabala Jnr had with Canelo work out for him?

              The "word" of Team BS is not worth **** as clearly found by a Florida court.

              Put up a guarantee or **** off

                  Jacobs-Quillin put nearly 9k people into Barclays Center (on seats priced $500-$50) and Golovkin "sold out" the 20k-seat Madison Square Garden (though there were reports of $20 tickets being sold).

                  If you honestly think that Golovkin-Jacobs couldn't sell out the 18k-seat Barclays Center (at $50-$750, with none of that $20 ticket stuff), you're kidding yourself.

                  K2 has likely offered Jacobs nowhere near $2m; for a fight that would only be on regular HBO, and with Golovkin's camp making sure that he gets his own pay, if K2 was willing to lay out that type of money, the bid would've already been called and the situation would've been resolved.

                  Use your head; the most money paid out for a Golovkin event was $3.5m, that required the event to be put on PPV, and K2's actions since that event have made it clear that the financials didn't work out for them.

                  For K2 to have offered, as you want to believe, Daniel Jacobs $2m, how much could they have possibly offered Golovkin, for a fight that's on regular HBO? gtfoh

                    He's the one who went and tried to get a change on the split instead of either fighting or vacating. One fighter lost a fight date because of it, just make a decision fight or don't.

                      I'm going off what's been rumored. My bad if that's all we gotta go on and the fact he went and asked for a change of the split which he actually did.
