Nothing has been explained! If you don't want to give Jacobs what he wants (40%), go to purse bid! If Jacobs vacates, who cares? GGG can fight Saunders or Zurdo Ramirez, and make more money! You can't have someone "cornered" and you're" trying to avoid a purse bid!" K2 is not a charity! Either they have options, or they don't! WBA, make the purse bid ASAP! We'll see who really wants the fight!

Well at least it can be agreed that the purse bid needs to happen, whatever your beliefs on why K2 would prefer it didn't. We'll see how it goes before too long, I'm sure.Nothing has been explained! No one has to bid $8m; DiBella/Haymon simply need to win the bid, with Daniel Jacobs sharing in the upside. You're right, but who is gonna bid enough for Jacobs to even get $2 million?
Would have to be a real idiot to bid upwards of $8 million for this fight...
Does Jacobs want to beat the man and become the man or does he want a belt handed over due to contractual issues? I dint understand how guys expect to get paid on a May/PAC opponent type level against a guy who only makes $2 million a fight himself...
Winning purse bid of $4m (Jacobs gets $1m), with the actual event proceeds being $6m (DiBella and Jacobs share the $2m beyond the bid); whether that ends up being a $2m payday to Jacobs is going to come down to how big DiBella can make the event.
Jacobs is more than ready for the fight; he and his camp just aren't going to be suckers about it.
Jacobs is a world champion and, just like Golovkin and his "title defenses", him staying champion is the key; if Golovkin walks away from the fight, Brooklyn is not going to care as long as they get to see their champion fight.Comment
