Will ward v kovalev live up to the hype?

What s some fail to understand is that the "hype" surrounding this is the best facing the best, in their prime, to establish the #1 fighter in the sport. No matter what happens, they will accomplish that.

If you're expecting a big guy squashing a little guy, a "war", or anything else that people get hyped on, you haven't been paying attention.

im hoping for a good entertaining fight. not expecting morales v barrera but i think boxing needs a big fight like this to deliver

nah i wont, i will genuinely give him a lot of credit if he beats kovalev, even if he fights negatively. However theres a difference between fighting negatively and cheating, if he starts fouling and the ref doesnt do anything im giving him no credit. Im counting it as a no contest like i have ward v kessler.

yeah i am obsessed, its a huge fight and im a huge boxing fan.

all you do is post reasons to not give Ward credit, while at first you said he would never take the fight...now you are just making excuses

The scoring system of boxing(particularly when american offcials are involved) is exploitable by spoilers with elite athleticism.....only way it lives up to the hype as far as pure entertainment is if Kovalev manages to hurt Ward. Not to say Ward can't win an interesting fight....but he can't win a barnburner and has incentive to spoil...I expect a decent fight, that could get ugly but the potential for an explosive finish...but not a consistent barnburner.
