froch couldn't put a glove on him, or stay within arm's reach for more than one punch at a time. ward keeps his hands free when they're close. he doesn't want a break. he was by far the more effective guy in close. just watch the cklinches closely if you don't understand what ward is trying to do. he keeps his hands free and works. it's not squeaky clean, but it's boxing and it always has been. every fighter, europeans included, do it.

heck the most prolific holder of recent memory is a european. wladimir klitschko kept a firm clinch on the HW championship for 10 years.
will give him credit he was a lot cleaner in that fight than some of his others but i still thought he clinched excessively compared to most fighters. And yeah klitschko shouldnt have got away what he did either with his clinching.

it has no hype and yes it wil suck. ward will make sure of it. if ward is in control it will be as exciting as ward-barrera sooo terrible. if ward is in trouble he will grab nonstop so it will be as exciting as wlad-povetkin soo worst fight ever anyway enjoy pretending that ward is a master boxer and not a cheat. you've been doing it for years so why stop now?

I can already taste your bitter tears, despite making 40 different threads per day about how Ward is a bum and Kovalev's gonna wreck him, I think deep down you know what's gonna happen.

I imagine some lost soul out there is already making a 'How Kovalev Beat Ward Punch Count' youtube video

nah i wont, i will genuinely give him a lot of credit if he beats kovalev, even if he fights negatively. However theres a difference between fighting negatively and cheating, if he starts fouling and the ref doesnt do anything im giving him no credit. Im counting it as a no contest like i have ward v kessler.

he keeps his hands free? hmm sure. he clinches then he throws a left hook off the clinch carlos molina style. i guess its ok to cheat if that cheating allows you to land punches?

Everyone else counts that as a win so I am sure Ward wont lose too much sleep over it.

                  I doubt it, seriously.

Kovalev doesn't have the right skillset to beat Ward, he can't get the better of Ward on the outside or inside. If Kova can't outbox you and beat you on the outside, there's nothing he can do. He can't fight on the inside, he doesn't know how to apply pressure because he's not a naturally aggressive fighter, he's defensively responsible and not a 'take one to give one' kinda guy.

Dre wins this fight much easier than people think

5 years of inactivty and **** opponents will catch up with him mate. Totally unproven at light heavyweight too and i think the strength of the supermiddleweight opposition he fought is exaggerated. Anyway one of us is going to be wrong, i will hold my hands up if i get it wrong but im expecting there to be a lot of ward fans on NSB deleting their prediction posts after the fight lol
