It depends on what your expectations are. If you go in expecting a fight of the year type fight you're going to be on here the next day *****ing. Ward doesn't get into fights like that because he has never had to get out of second gear. It's going to be a tactical fight with high tension in the early going. We either get to see Ward outclass Kovalev in a boring UD or get to see Ward fight to survive against a beast in Kovalev.

lol it's not like Kovalev has been fighting killas, is it? His only credible wins are Pascal, Chilemba and an ancient BHop. I don't find that very impressive. Ward has fought and beaten much better competition, he would make easy work of anybody on Kovalev's resume.

Also he's been active since returning to boxing, this will be his 3rd fight of the year

Exaggerated ! He nullified Kessler and Froch, schooled Rodriguez as well as Dawson and educated Barrera, whom may go on to have a great career, ain't no shame in losing to Ward.

If you want to watch fights where the opposition block shots with their noses and faces go follow Froch and GGG, if you genuinely want to admire and watch a defensive genius at work, try a Ward fight some time.

Only casuals look beyond skill for power punching freaks beating down on over matched opposition.

rodriguez- bum whos beaten nobody. dawson-weight drained and got knocked out in a round by the pimp and pascal beat him too, the same pascal who gave froch (wards best win) hell but people say hes rubbish cause kovalev beat him. barrera- currently ranked outside the top 40 in boxrec. froch- you said it yourself 'blocks punches with his face'. kessler- decent fighter who ward fouled to death (88 clinches and 5 headbutts)

Once again, due to your inability to view anything related to Andre Ward with even a sliver of objectivity your OPINION means less than nothing.Just more failed attempts to soften the blow from g string ducking a Ward fight.

For the record, every name you listed here (including Rodriguez) is at least as good as anyone g string has fought

What s some fail to understand is that the "hype" surrounding this is the best facing the best, in their prime, to establish the #1 fighter in the sport. No matter what happens, they will accomplish that.

If you're expecting a big guy squashing a little guy, a "war", or anything else that people get hyped on, you haven't been paying attention.
