Not the way it works. You can quantify how much someone might be worth based on what they've brought to the table so far. No one can make an argument as to why Golovkin deserves more than 10 million + whatever PPV sales bring in.

        Exactly.

4.7 million PPV net vs 97K PPV net

If GGG takes the 10m, how much is Canelo going to make? 30m, 40m??

But what's this 10 million dollar offer?

I've heard Oscar say that the fight is not for 2016 or even early 2017. He said it was likely for September of 2017 and all the while Canelo will fight the likes of Smith and then have tune ups at 160 (if he makes the full weight).

So I'm curious what the actual terms of the contract were. I assume you know since you're talking about it with such confidence.

the reality it seems is pretty simple, GGG will likely have 2, possibly 3 fights by Sept 2017. Why would he sign a contract so in advance? Especially considering that, when the ball was in Canelos court ("Mexicans dont **** around"), he promptly dropped his belt and moved an entire division down. Can you also explain how that equates to GGG ducking?

            Thanks in advance.

Apparently it's not about the money, just the belts.

This is dumb... would you fight someone for 10 million or would you negotiation for the next couple of months and double your money

GGG is B side but you don't have a PPV unless you get a piece of the pie FACT

That shows Golden Girl do not want to make the fight it's all bollocks and they're doing a good job in making dweebs like you believe that GGG is holding up the fight with money

WHY DOES IT HAVE TO HAPPEN IN SEPTEMBER 2017

                WHY NOT SEPTEMBER 2016
                WHY NOT MAY 2017

Golden Girl are ****ing conning boxing fans - been a **** year for boxing because the biggest fight in boxing has not happened!

Well I personally would take $10m to get soundly beaten by someone too, but then I am not a professional prize fighter with the ability to sell out arenas against mid tier opposition.

The day they announced this 10 million offer, Oscar said it was for September 2017. That's the absolute earliest the fight can happen.

The only reason anyone thinks he should be signing this deal now is because they want to pretend Golovkin is ducking rather than being ducked. They're all very transparent. If there's any actual intention of making this fight, this offer will be there in June or July for Golovkin to sign and he will. It's also very possible that Golovkin's star will increase while Alvarez's declines, which could change things drastically.

But Golovkin haters don't care about that. They'll bring up false examples like Kovalev-Ward (which didn't have terms like the purses or venue decided until they were through all their tuneups and ready to actually make the fight) and keep acting like Golovkin is responsible for the fight not happening.

Golovkin can sign this deal tomorrow and it still doesn't make the fight happen for another 10 months, at best. This offer is for September 2017. Absolutely nothing Golovkin can do right now prevents hesitation. If the offer's real, Golovkin can sign it when it's actually time for the fight to happen.

Let's get real here. Golovkin would take the fight right now if it was possible. It's not. So why not negotiate? He can't make the fight happen any sooner. There's no way any of the people saying he should sign this deal would say the same if Golovkin offered Ward 6 million flat for a fight in September 2017. It's blatantly obvious what the agenda is here.
