It all hinges on the ppvs sales. If they sell 1m+, then he's worth more. If 1.5m, a lot more etc. That's why flat fees are no go for the biggest fight in the sport

Ima laugh when he makes more than that and everybody still says he's ducking. THen when he knocks him out, GGG waited Canelo out till he got older, lol

10 million? I barely make 6 figures a year and have a negative net worth.

I'd fight someone for 50k even if I wasn't confident I could beat them. Money is money, and I've been boxing since 06.

If you were confident you could beat someone would you humiliate yourself by relinquishing your world title instead of fighting them?

If you were confident you could beat someone, would you want to fight them straight away and retain your title, or give your title up and tell them you weren't going to fight for at least another year?

Why fight 1 fight for 10 mil when you can fight 5 and get the same amount?

Mayweather was coming off of PPV's that sold 350k+. Golovkin can't get on PPV because his one and only flopped.

Canelo was involved in the 2nd biggest fight ever and is rumoured to have got around $12 mil. He took the short end in the Cotto PPV even though he's probably a bigger draw (He was Guaranteed 5 mil, Cotto 15 mil.)

Does Golovkin deserve more than 10 mil? No he doesn't because he's neither a big draw or fought anyone to say he has earned it.

you're worth whatever you're able to negotiate. there is no doubt GGG will be able to negotiate more than is being offered. therefore, he's worth more than he's being offered.

Agreed, I can't claim someone is ducking me then turn around and hesitate when i get offered the biggest pay of my career, especially when i need that name on my resume. I would take that money KO the guy and then wait to see the opportunities of bigger pay day rolling in.

Floyd Mayweather has already been in 3 PPVs by the time he fought Oscar dela Hoya, P4P best fighter in the world, HOF career at 4 weight classes AND he was moving up to fight Oscar. Of course Floyd deserved a piece of the PPV especially since he carried the whole promotion on his back and was the main reason why the fight sold as well as it did. That money may villain persona took the PPV business to new heights and raised the bar very high. If it was Oscar fighting a guy from Kazakhstan that has " big drama show" as his catchphrase that fight wouldn't have cracked 1 Mill PPV buys.

No way in hell can GGG sell a fight like Floyd Mayweather did and he definitley doesn't have the credentials for him to have "earned" more money than the 10 Mill he's being offered. Plus if he was that confident he should just take the fight, win and then dictate terms for his for his next fight.
