Your logic is flawed fool he don't generate the cash you think he does, only time he fought overseas and was on ppv Hearn was the brains behind it, he had to travel and k2 had nothing to do with it, you are hyping him up to generate these enormous amounts of money overseas which he can't and saying let him get all international money, you think goldenboy wouldn't jump on that? They would really look like thieves that's why loeffler and co want a % this isn't no Floyd/PAC and no country is going pay big broadcasting fees to carry fight

If goldenboy didn't hold all the cards why didn't fight happen in September like suppose to? Why is it still being discussed to happen on a date goldenboy wants now? Canelo lowest ppv total is still higher then only time ggg fought on ppv and guy can't get back on there without canelo but he such a international star... canelo trainer already said that he will prob return in February on reg HBO card since December show was scrapped because of injury with 158 target weight and what pressure is he under exactly? If that was the case the khan and smith fights wouldn't of happened and HBO would of forced him to take fight already doesn't matter what you fanboys thinks it's what HBO thinks and canelo only one generating ppvs for them right now twice a year
K2 aren't going to bend over and drop their pants.
With each month that passes by, Canelo and Oscar gain more criticism and become under more pressure.
He may be coming back earlier than first anticipated in February-March? At a possible 158? Wow! And who's that going to be against?
What if GG beats Jacobs and Saunders within the next 6 months?
There'd be nobody else relevant for Canelo to fight at the weight, and the pressure to fight GG would be unbearable.
Canelo hasn't got a lot of great options at the moment.Comment

For example Canelo got a guarenteed $5 Million which excluded the PPV money. Where as Cotto got $15 Million excluding PPV money. Against Khan, Canelo made $10 Million guarenteed excluding PPV money.
Am pretty sure Golovkin make a hell of a lot more than the $10 million flat fee if they offer him $5 million guarentee plus all international PPV moneys. How you do not see this is baffling. Even if K2 use thier contacts and have Hearn or whomever is the best promoter in the various countries and only take 50% of the PPV money from those countries they would still be able to give Golovkin more than $5 million easy.Comment

I've touched on this in the other thread. Successful fights (at least in the box office) are not always about the manner in which they were promoted. It's about good matchmaking and the perception that goes with it as no one knows exactly how the fight will go. The Superfight, for example, turned out to be boring to many. In GGG vs Canelo case, it's not even a perception. It's a guaranteed action fight between two popular stars.
Successful fights are not always about fighters with Mexican styles.
In general, casual fans hate fights where one fighter disengages too much, clinches excessively, runs, anything that disrupts the smooth flow of the fight. You don't need rocket science to figure out who fans root for in such fights.
That's why GGG's team is making a huge mistake in not pursuing the Lara fight. It may not be huge, but it will definitely sell. You all saw how the audience erupted when Angulo knocked down Lara twice.
It's not about promotion in most cases, it's about the pairing as well as all the circumstances surrounding it at the time.Comment

If that was true they wouldnt be offering ggg a flat fee... they know they are in control and canelo was very clear about it, its my way or the highway...
Canelo already left a bigger name in cotto on the negotiation table, and fought kirkland instead, he would not hesitate to show ggg the middle finger, delaying the fight will only affect ggg, so the preassure is on him...
Most people can see through the BS.
They're not in control. And they better hope that they get to BJS first. Because if GG beats Jacobs and BJS, they would have nobody else relevant to fight at the weight.
You're kidding yourself.
Canelo and Oscar are under enormous pressure already. They've already given up their belt after inviting GG into the ring after Khan, that has tarnished both of their reputations.
There is nothing good about them giving K2 the middle finger. They will suffer more than GG will.Comment

If this fight does 1 Mil (which would be incredible because both guys don't speak good english) you're only talking 35 Mil in PPV revunue to the promotion. Add maybe 5 Mil from gate money/ticket sales.
40 Million Dollars is the pot we are looking at... K2 will receive 10-15 Mil for the fight. The extra 5 mil is what they are fight over. At 15 mil, GGG's side will receive close to 40% of the revenue.
So I understand why Golden boy wants to stand firm at 10 Mil offer to GGG which would be 25% of the possible revenue. Maybe Oscar can offer 30% and call it a day. Who knows. What a dilemma 🤔Comment

Canelo can offer more revenue to BJS than GGG. Alvarez is the bigger draw. Not to mention BJS has to like his chances better against Canelo.
They can offer whatever they want.
