yeah golovkins so overrated and beatable apparantly and such an easy night for top fighters but noone wants to go in there and fight him.

I'd be pulling for Gennady over Canelo if it ever materializes, but do y'all really think that Canelo is gonna get KO'd? I mean sure, we are talking about one of the most prolific knockout artists in the modern era, so it certainly wouldn't be a shock, but...Canelo is a f**king beast too, man. And when is the last time Canelo has even been legitimately hurt or staggered? Let alone knocked down or out?

If it's a GGG stoppage I'd be betting on accumulation and a corner stoppage - whilst Golovkin is capable of a one-shot KO they're few and far between, he takes a more conservative approach with fewer risks and a confidence that the leather he's landing is hurting his opponent. Added to the fact that Golovkin has a far higher output than Canelo, though both guys pick their punches well, and I've got Golovkin by late TKO, though with Canelo landing often and well on the counter. Canelo with early success but simply getting outworked and broken down.

Looking forward to it though, I certainly think Canelo's in with a chance ,although I'm not holding my breath at all - will not be surprised if this one has to 'marinate' for another year or two.

It seems like Schaefer is damn near promoting the fight... I know some things take time, but this fight should have already happened. I don't know what ODLH is doing, but sometimes, that **** can marinate too long.

Ummm. Yeah. About a year and 3 fights ago for his GBP contract. 2 years ago (and 4 fights) for his HBO contract. No details on how long they run though. I wonder what Tricky Ricky's interest is then, or maybe I'm reading too much into it.
