and when I have confirmation of that from anyone EXCEPT Bob Arum, I will believe it.....
..... not necessarily saying that is untrue, just that Arum said it..... so yea, who knows?

it doesn't say anything like that in the article ?

fair call ^^
but that wasn't the case..... Broner argued that he was worth more than 4mil NOW, from an absolute superstar..... Golovkin is arguing that he is worth more than 10mil NOW, from a wannabe superstar
and I am arguing that the glaring difference between how YOU guys view those 2 examples seems to indicate a more-than-slight bias when it comes to the affairs of Golovkin
how can you call Broner dumb and yet call Golovkin smart ?

[QUOTE=OctoberRed;17155993]Broner is a fool. Win over Pacquiao could have really catapulted him.[/QUOTE
No it wouldn't have, because there would have just been another excuse from the Pac camp and Pac fans as to why Pac lost. Then there would be a call for a rematch against a healthy or non-distracted Pac. And non-stop talk about how Broner couldn't beat a healthy or focused Pac. Broner would receive more hate for beating Pac than he would praise or respect.

If Broner wanted 6 million with no PPV upside, Bob should have jumped to make that fight. If Broner wanted 6 million plus PPV upside, depending on the percentage Broner was requesting, I could easily see Bob not wanting to make this fight because Bob must take home the biggest purse of the night.

What no one can explain is why Bonehead is even relevant now. There are many fighters with easily as much talent... who have yet to see a million $$ payday. The guy is a mental midget, with a far higher view of his worth than he needs to have.

yea, I kinda suspect that as well..... fair call ^^
it was most likely 4mil plus a percentage of the upside should PPV sales exceed a certain (most likely unattainable, knowing Arum) number
I actually agree with you on the flat-fee subject, you argued a good point yesterday..... and unlike kafkod, I will concede if I am wrong, or in this case not 100% correct..... although, the point I made yesterday that an unprecedented offer is not necessarily unfair just because it is unprecedented, is still valid
I admit, that a flat-fee for Canelo/GGG would be more fair
but NO WAY can 10mil be viewed as anything other than a good (not great) offer..... that could have been accepted
much more deserving fighters have accepted much less
