Mikkel kessler didn't lose because of headbutts, he was outlanded by a landslide, not only outlanded, but outmaneuvered, outclassed and outhustled. If Kovalev can't fight on the inside and he lost then that's on him just like if Ward couldn't fight on the inside, it'd be on him.

I don't think Ward will be able to pull the "Billy goat" tactics (head butt) on Kovalev. He may have outboxed Kessler but he definitely softened him up with his head first. Kovalev has that killer instinct and is very dangerous. Ward is so talented he can win on points if he hits, holds and runs but not with head butts against Kovalev.

To be fair Ward did head butt the **** out of Kessler in their fight, the rough tactics effected Kessler a great deal. That being said, Ward hasn't been accused of purposely headbutting someone for a while (years) so I don't see it as an issue for this fight.

Ward is getting hit more than he was @ 168, but Kovalev got hit a lot more by Chilemba. It's still a 50/50 fight, but I notice that it still has no BUZZ in the media! I think Canelo vs. Khan and Thurman vs. Porter had more hype than Kovalev vs. Ward! That's not a good look!

It says a lot about the state of boxing in the USA. You guys in America would know more about how boxing is doing compared to other sports but from where I'm standing I'm amazed that there isn't more buzz - it reflects badly on both Kov and Ward and also their two promoters . If you can't get a buzz going for this fight then you shouldn't be a promoter.

This is true and sad, wtf is hbo doing lol.. I see no promotion. The boxing budget must really be ****.. id be shocked if this cracked 125k.. they expect 250k, lmao, good luck with that

Ward is too smart to win.. Kovalev is easy to hit, Ward isnt. Ward will find a way to hit kovalev without getting in the line of fire. Whether its potshotting and grabbing or potshotting and running. EITHER way, ward on points. Racist Kov is a beast tho, with a punchers chance

yes ward did all those things because he was allowed to cheat which helped him. something you don't want to admit. maybe he wins if he fights legit. we will never know though.
