Judging by the eye test from his last 2 fights I have to agree with Roach, however there are a lot of factors that need to be considered too especially the psychological factor, Brand and Barrera are hard fights to get up for when you're Andre Ward, plus rust could've been a reason why the Barrera fight seemed to be tougher than it should've been. Kovalev didn't look so great in his last fight either it could've also been due to lack of motivation. Both fighters know that this fight is for all the marbles and that they have to be on their A+ game that night. I expect Ward to fight a very busy very aggressive kind of fight like he did against Kessler, maybe not with the same speed or reflexes but the same style and attitude. I expect Kovalev to come in real aggressive early to try to impose his size and power on Ward.

Hopefully the loser gives the winner credit and not make any excuses. May the best man win!
