Lets see Canelo thinks he's the A side of the fight. Has been protected since he became a world class fighter, got embarrassed fighting an older smaller guy named Mayweather and since then has only fought smaller fighters. GGG has destroyed the middleweight division, is undefeated and at the very least should be getting parity for fighting Canelo. The real deal is Canelo's team are dragging their feet once again knowing GGG is the older fighter and time is on their side. All the posing and baloney from the Canelo camp says it all. Even they don't think their protected meal ticket can beat GGG.

Just to give you some ballpark figures.

25% of $5 million would be $1.25 million. Jacobs got more than that for fighting Peter Quillin.

25% of $8 million would be $2 million.

25% of $10 million would be $2.5 million.

Realistically I don't see anyone bidding 8 million or more for GGG-Jacobs so that means Jacobs is looking at a purse of less than $2 million. He can get that, or very close to it, against other people.

Promoters get their cut from the fighters purses not before hand.. they are not paid first then the fighters..

Anyways none of this has to do with ggg getting a split or not..
It would be extremely foolish to take a flat fee unless it was some absurd amount like 20 mil..
At 10 million, ggg would most likely make more with a purse split unless it's a huge flop which it won't be.. it probably doesn't do 900k but will break 600k and most likely 700k.. if canelo-khan did 600k and the canelo-cotto fight did 850k. I suspect it will fall somewhere inbetween..
