Alvarez-Golovkin is a smaller fight than Cotto-Alvarez was; the fact that folks continue to try and act as if there's this massive public presence behind Golovkin is laughable.

[900k PPV buys, @$60 a PPV, gets you to $54m; half to the distributers and you're looking at $27m for everyone. Add the MGm Resorts site fee, the UK money (Alvarez kept the Mexico money for himself), and other revenues and you're looking at $45m for the fighters/promoters to share. 20% to the promoters and you've got the fighters splitting $36m]

Golovkin gets $10m (plus the Germany TV), Alvarez gets $25m (plus the Mexican TV), and then Golovkin gets 30% on anything beyond 1.25m PPV buys, since Golovkin's starpower is so great. lol

who cares about what happened during the negotiation process YESTERDAY..... TODAY, Golovkin walked away from 10mil, despite the fact that you said he would take that offer "in a heartbeat".

the fact remains..... Golovkin COULD have agreed to fight Canelo for 10mil, but he CHOSE not to

The real deal is Canelo's team are dragging their feet once again knowing GGG is the older fighter and time is on their side. All the posing and baloney from the Canelo camp says it all. Even they don't think their protected meal ticket can beat GGG.

uh..... Canelo is the CLEAR A-side in that fight

start your post again based on that premise

25% of $8 million would be $2 million.

25% of $10 million would be $2.5 million.

Realistically I don't see anyone bidding 8 million or more for GGG-Jacobs so that means Jacobs is looking at a purse of less than $2 million. He can get that, or very close to it, against other people.

and EVERYONE is clearly aware of that

including Team Bull****, and the g-string's

It might be true that Jacobs can get 1.5M against someone else, I just dont know who? What I do know, is that no other potential win would elevate him to the stardom that a win over Golovkin would.

DUDE, what the fk would beating Canelo do for Hypekin ?

YES, fkn HYPEKIN..... the UNPROVEN hypejob who has never fought a genuine world-class opponent and who cannot generate more than 97k PPV buys.

how come you are completely incapable of looking at this situation with a balanced viewpoint?

oh right, so Jacobs needs exposure, but Hypekin doesn't ?

              fk me

It is clearly obvious that Golovkin is desperate for a career-defining win..... and yet all you clowns do is make childish excuses to justify why that b1tch will not be a man of his word.

FACT: Golovkin could have accepted 10mil to fight a guy where a "potential win would elevate him to the stardom"

Promoters get their cut from the fighters purses not before hand.. they are not paid first then the fighters..

Anyways none of this has to do with ggg getting a split or not..
It would be extremely foolish to take a flat fee unless it was some absurd amount like 20 mil..
At 10 million, ggg would most likely make more with a purse split unless it's a huge flop which it won't be.. it probably doesn't do 900k but will break 600k and most likely 700k.. if canelo-khan did 600k and the canelo-cotto fight did 850k. I suspect it will fall somewhere inbetween..

No one but ****** fanboys are claiming ggg the A-side.. canelo clearly is, but that shouldn't mean ggg has to take flat fee.. 67/33 seems fair.. 2/3s canelo, 1/3 to ggg...

I'm getting sick and tired of Golovkin and his trainer.

Just sign for 10 million or move on. That simple.
