You see Ward and Kov side by side, it's easy to see that Ward is taller, and thicker than Kov. If he was 186 two days out for Sali B, then he could easily be 190+ on fight night. The guy says he struggles to make 175 new. He isn't struggling to take off 10 pounds.
Ward has been as high as 190, the one fight weight I've seen and he was a SMW then. And since he hides his fight night weight, it's probably safe to assume he is heavier than he wants people to know.
Which is also why he and Hunter said he'd be HW champ by 30.
He was 176 against Dawson 186 against Barrera and that's as big as he has looked. You GGG nut jobs just love shrinking him and enlarging his opponents when it's convenient don't you.
You are taking a page from Khan's book of weight fibbing. If Golovkin was an average sized Junior Middleweight then he would have had no problem making the Canelo fight at 155 or at least attempting to call his bluff since by your reasoning he could make 154.

Golovkin needs to tell Abel to shut his damn mouth, and focus solely on talking about the remaining belts at 160,and the possible canelo fight. There is little to no reason to be talking about anything at 168,let alone the 3 best fighters at 175.

There is no reason ggg shouldn't get to do the same. If these guys like Canelo (whose a MW who fights only smaller guys) and Jacobs stay bent on letting ggg accomplish this with little resistance, so be it.
All the MW greats best fights were from guys coming up from 147 and 154. So this talk about that ggg fights smaller guys is all bs hater Shiiit.
Both guys would have a good 15-20 pounds of weight. Ward probably more. He's bigger than Kov, and we don't have much in the way of his rehydration weight, but it's likely in the 190 area. Kov was 186 aginst Pascal and Ward is bigger than him. 174 was ggg highest weight. So he'd be giving up 15 pounds at least.
However, that 15 pounds isn't a lot. When ggg is done at MW I have zero doubt he will move up.
GGG will have to be good to beat either of these guys, they have real size on him.

And any arguments about Ward being the 'bigger guy' are kinda moot - they're fighting for the IBF trinket so there's a 10lb rehydration limit in place, OK it's not an absolute limit, guys can continue to gain somewhat during the day of the fight, but it will ensure that they're pretty close. Besides with both guys being in their early 30s now both teams will know that the detriment of excessive weight changes are likely to outweigh any miniscule advantage gained by carrying an extra lb or two to the ring.

People don't realize that some industry will now be out to hunt Abel in several exposing ways. Dude went too far saying Tyson didn't dominate his division. "The bosses had enough of him. In the trunk he goes, and if Gennady fights in Vegas next time...there are plenty of holes in the desert..."Last edited by Lester Tutor; 10-24-2016, 04:49 AM.
