Andre Ward has taken 4 pay cuts to get fights made

Rodriguez, Smith, Barrera & Brand. Some guys do whatever it takes to get fights made. That's why they have great resumes while others turn down paydays that'll pay them 8 figures & double what they've ever been paid! But this is box, not business.

    But Ward is a diva?!?!?

And the boxing world is so thankful that Ward made such concessions to make memorable classics made as Smith, Berrera, and Brand. How much did Brand make again?

Ward is a warrior who's all about fighting. He's never ducked or dodged anyone. When mentions of superfights are being made involving him he always steps up to the plate and doesn't let money become an issue. The reason behind his long holdout is because he wanted to make sure one of the original members of his management team was getting their fair share of payment by Dan Goosen. This dude is exactly what you look for in a boxerf. Class Act!

All easy meaningless fights. When difficult fights have been on the table, Ward has a history of pricing himself out (except for Kovalev).

Who did he price himself out against?

Ward definitely gets more criticism than he deserves. I think people largely have made him the bad guy since his promoter issues, rightly or wrongly, & from that point he's not gonna win in their opinions whatever road he takes. So things go for an exceptionally talented undefeated boxer in 2016.

Randomly or not so randomly I see unbridled hate going GGG's way more & more lately to & he's a guy who has a traditionally entertaining style unlike Ward or the go to guy to hate on Floyd which seems odd to me to.

Maybe Floyd's mainstream appeal brought in more hater fans or just more fans of boxing have pivoted to more of a random hate of boxers style of fan appreciation...I don't know. Its curious & sorta weird to see this unbased or lacking much substance transition of hate of a boxer that seems new or newer in this world doe.
