The last time he opened up like he used to in the lower divisions and really went for the KO, he got brutally KTFO. It's probably a combination of factors: facing bigger guys, obviously, and coming off PEDS
Lack of body work and fewer punches thrown by Pac come to mind. If Spence can stop Algieri and Bradley can stop Rios, Pac misstepped somewhere and it's probably not an issue with punching power since he definitely hits harder than Bradley.
Anyway no denying that he just isn't the fighter he was in 2009.
How? He has never been a one punch KO guy. He still hurts opponents but just doesn't go for the KO like he used to. He used to be a buzzsaw and wouldn't let up. As he got older he started boxing a bit more and not going after his opponents with the same intensity. The Cotto fight is a good example, he could of taken Cotto out but he isn't that guy anymore
I think his output and intensity dropped, but that happens with age. The difference between TBE of 2005 and that of 2015 was massive. From a boxer point of view you can see how far he too dropped in terms of activity.
Possibly. They certainly told on themselves with the whole "he's had shoulder issues since 2008 and been taking shots but we didn't have surgery all this time but now we have to" blah blah. Not a good look. Lots of red flags there, including Roach admitting he knew Toney took roids and also testifying that Justin Fortune took roids etc.
Then again, you can point these flags toward any fighter, including Mayweather. The difference is that he pushed the sport to better testing and made it a major issue (whether folks want to admit it or not).
I don't take Conte very serious, as I said. He has an agenda. Hauser is old news. Those guys took the wrong side (IMO) are being frozen out and are now out issuing hit pieces. Good luck with that. Does he even still write articles?
He never used VADA. He took an IV before a fight, with a TUE 21 days later. Fishy as hell as Conte himself said.
He said he was doing random all year testing, which is also false.
He fooled a lot of people. He knew he was dirty and so was almost everyone else, so he wanted to make sure no one could dope while he could.

At 29/30 years old fighters are still on their peak. Not the same at 35/36 years old unless you are on PEDs.
Mosts athletes are retired by the time they hit 35 years old. Because of natural decline.
