its only speculation that it "kills the fight". Thats what Team Jacobs wants Loeffler to think, because as long as Loeffler thinks that, then Team Jacobs can keep trying to grind out additional concessions. There has to be finality at some point, and if Jacobs doesnt want the fight, then so be it.

Come on, it's not speculation, they've said he's nowhere near ready for the date, and isn't fighting for 25%. I get this could be a major waste of time for Ggg but they're never gonna have a better chance of making this fight

Their is always a threat of Haymon swindling some money from somebody. You don't know what Golovkin's contract stipulates. Golovkin has made it clear that the only thing that he cares about is the pursuit of belts in the middleweight division, so if the Jacobs fight doesn't come off I doubt that he would care.

How do you know he wont fight for the 25%? You dont. Sure, he might walk, but then again he might not. And if he does then so be it. What would you propose, that GGG just keeps upping the offer until Jacobs accepts? Where do you draw the line? 50-50? 70-30 Jacobs way? I mean come on man. Send it to bid and see what happens......

Hbo is probably willing to put it on ppv but not right after 3 other ppvs in 3 months. That'd make it very hard for Jacobs to walk away

It's a safe bet even at 40%, at 25% they're not even gonna bother showing up. But you know, if Haymon wants to sink 8m to promote Ggg for a fight, Hbo would probably let it happen, it's all win for them.

Look how quickly they made that fight against a WW.

K2 gets stubborn when it comes to somebody likely to give GGG trouble.

Why? The joke is on Sho and Haymon. Theyd have to pay huge money, over 2x what they pay Haymons best draws for their guy to get destroyed by 5-1 favorite Hbo guy. They might even take the crown of boxings laughing stock from Canelo if they make that ridiculous bluff.
