      It's possible Jacobs' team was playing hardball so the idea of moving forward with the purse bid made sense at the time. Maybe (when confronted with the reality that a purse bid would not be more than a 75/25 split) Team Jacobs then decided to negotiate once again.
      Let's not assume that a looming purse bid automatically means a fighter HAS to fight.

        I think it will too. I've said from day one it'll happen and I still believe it will. It might get delayed a couple weeks

          But Loeffler asked for an early bid

            Jacobs saw what his team was willing to bid and he was OK with 25% of that. K2 is delaying the fight. If they're really that close to making a deal it shouldn't take another two whole weeks!!!;

              lol yeah that must be it. if jacobs was happy with 25 percent of what his team was going to offer why did he request 40 percent? 4

                He requested 40% they rejected it. If Jacobs was gonna vacate why didn't he do it then? He's already seen what his side was bidding and he didn't pull out. K2 is the one scrambling around calling for early bids, pushing dates back, and now getting an extension

                  Loeffer has to be sweating donkey balls right now. The purse bid is looking like a very scary place with Schaeffer suddenly coming back and good,decent priced fights being made. Haymon's finding money from somewhere and Golovkin can't have a fight that isn't broadcasted on HBO. I see this ending one of two ways Jacobs getting a really big slice of the pie or Golovkin vacating one of his belts.

                    I find it strange people are OK with this after blaming Jacobs two days ago for the fight not happening on Dec 10th. Today would've been the purse bid and Loeffler just got a 15 day extension. The fight could've been made today!

                      Loeffler is a tool for asking for an extension, and Mendoza is a tool for giving him one. As long as people continue to bend over and "continue negotiating" instead of observing regulated deadlines, this diva crap will never end.

                      Should have just went to bid and let the chips fall where they may. Loeffler got punked yet again.......
