FFS, is it too much to ask to get a little impartiality from a sanctioning body??
If I worked in Tom Loeffler's office he would be releasing this statement today:

In reply to the recent comments made by World Boxing Organization President Francisco Valcarcel, I would like to remind Mr Valcarel that when I recieved the offer from Roc Nation Sports, for a fight between Gennady Golovkin and Andre Ward, at 168 lbs, to take place in the summer of 2016, Gennady was in the position of mandatory challenger to the WBC MW title, and had been guaranteed a shot at the winner of the upcoming fight between Miguel Cotto and Saul Alvarez.

If Saul Alvarez had honoured the pledge he made to the WBC and to Gennady, he would have defended the WBC and lineal MW titles against Golovkin in either the spring or late summer of 2016, which was the same time frame as the one stipulated in the offer I recieved from Roc Nation. I therefore had no alternative but to reject that offer on Gennady's behalf.

      • Is this "WBO prez" a member of the cross dressing fish net squad? He seems to be very biased and has a bizzare infatuation with Canelo.

On topic, the WBO prez needs to be quiet, someone in such a position of influence and power should steer clear of making this kind of comment. It's very unprofessional to appear to be taking sides or vehemently defending a side.
Funny thing is most of them feel exactly the same thing about Golovkin's critics .. like whatever he does he's always in the wrong, it's a weird dynamic. Most of the posters (with numerous exceptions) on both sides of the fence are knowledgeable guys with a genuine passion for the sport, yet bring up this one topic and this weird intractability develops - and then you've got to be either 'for' or 'against' and the more you argue the more entrenched the positions get. i think it's a forum thing - or maybe just a human thing - I used to post some on military forums too, and the same kinda thing happens there.

Great username BTW. Long-live the Hammer.
You enjoy making fun out of fanatic GG fan boys - a bit strange, but whatever.
You do realize on 'your side' there are also a lot of fanatic anti-GG fans that are even more dilusional than the GG fan boys themselves.
Its a bit wierd you get kicks from making fun out of other people. Did u get bullied at school and now want your turn?

            • Dummygraphic circlejerking bout a biased, corrupt Mexican Canelita nuthugger who just want the Canelo $$$ and knows GGG would fuck the little ginger pussy up and embarrass the "greatest" Mexican fighter.

You're spot on once again, he does have some dedicated haters and I mean DEDICATED lol but I feel the responsibility to be objective lies more with a fan than a hater if that makes sense.

I only feel bad for reasonable fans like yourself because you are far less vocal, when you think of GGG fans of NSB the ones that would spring to mind are bigdramashow, Jubei, freedom and Cyclone. Those guys don't have a pubic hair of objectivity between the lot of them. Same thing with Ward fans, the ones talking the most are unreasonably biased.

                • He talks about Canelo bringing 52,000 fans and then asks why doesn't GGG fight Ward??? He answered his own question. Ward brings no money to the table and is now getting ready to fight the most dangerous man at 175.

Meanwhile GGG was outweighed by Brook throughout training camp, and is outweighed by Canelo in the ring on nearly every fight night....

uh no I'm not, tf does all this have to do with standards and if that were true, where are ggg standards for not having a single good name in bis resume? Lame standards?

Not Canelo. Not Cotto. Try to focus. GGG knew he'd have gotten owned by the slick Ward. There's your reason.
How about at 164 That Ward decline?
