Dude nobody outside the hardcore fans even know who Golovkin is.

Golovkin is no super star thats reserved for a a few fighters and right now its Canelo.

Golovkin outside the hardcore boxing circle is a nobody get that through your delusional thick head.

Now if Canelo wasn't around boxing would be in a deeper hole cuz he's the only superstar right now.
Even Canelo as superstar is a stretch to be honest. He's the biggest right now. Manny Pacquiao and Floyd were superstars because "casuals" knew them and tuned in.

Canelo has a good mexican fanbase and a few others. Worldwide, he's the ginger that got schooled by Floyd, that's the truth of the matter.

That is not a superstar. Boxing doesn't have a true one after Floyd and Manny, well Manny is fighting but on his way out really.

HBO and Golden Boy are trying to tell everyone Canelo is a super star, but he really isn't. Boxing just isn't that big anymore and he has no appeal worldwide. If there's going to be a true global superstar in the next 5 years, i'd bet my house Canelo won't be it, he's lacking something to propel him to that true superstar status.

        Just curious.
        No.

But I don't need to search your post history to know that you are just another flomo who has switched your venom from Manny to Golovkin for no other reason than that you are addicted to bitching and squabbling on the internet with Manny fans and after Floyd won their fight you didn't want to stop and needed another enemy to keep the bitchfest going.

Connello gives up his belt to GGG then pulls diva crap by low balling him and all you trolls and haters want to say he's not worth 50% of the purse. 250000 buys in his last fight against Smith goes to show his worth is slipping and GGG s is gaining momentum. You think Loeffler has not mentioned this to GBP in negotiations. Your boy dumped the belt .

Ironically Floyd fans were interesting because at first they criticized Alvarez as easy work, but when Floyd gives respect to Alvarez about the whole situation, many Floyd fans are now defending Alvarez. I have also mentioned many times that Floyd did easy work on Alvarez, but it does hurt me a tad bit that it was at a catchweight...

I could say that Floyd still beats Alvarez at 154, but that just didn't happen.

And for the record, Alvarez doesn't have a "good" Mexican fan base. He had the BEST and STRONGEST Mexican fanbase. His stadium appearances prove it for fcks sake..unless the stadium and pandemonium is on mute

              No need to be pedantic.

My point was that he isn't a global boxing superstar. He might be a superstar amongst Mexicans, but not globally like Pacquiao for example.

              There's a big difference.

Please be consistent dude. This isn't a competition of fame between Alvarez and Pac.

Superstar amongst Mexicans strictly? Which industry boxers downplay Alvarez's skill?

Doesn't matter, we were talking Floyd's next level options if the Oscar fight never happened. Hatton wasn't gonna be his kingmaker, as Larry claimed

I find it odd that the timing of this announcement by trolLoeffler coincides with the WBO having told BJS he has to make back to back mandatory defenses...

He isn't a global superstar. that's all i was saying.

Skill doesn't equal superstardom. Rigo can't draw flies.
