Let me try to help you with some common sense. GGG fought in the UK. When the fight ended it was a little before midnight or after midnight. The WBA called the mandatory after the fight. Do you really think they're going to count Sat, September 10th at 11:30pm as a full day?!?!? Use some common sense

First of all Loeffler was the only one talking about Dec 10th because that's an HBO date. He's the one that had everybody thinking the fight was Dec 10th even though he didn't have a deal & they weren't even close to a deal. We know that for a fact because he is the one that asked for an early purse bid. When Espinoza said Showtime was gonna aggressively go after the fight Loeffler changed his tune and went back to negotiating. So blame Loeffler for making you believe the fight was happening Dec 10th although they weren't even close to a deal. And people wonder why GGG can't get a big fight, smh

But the reason Loeffler wants it in January is because HBO said they'll be raising their boxing budget next year. He'll have more money from HBO to put towards the purse bid. That's a smart move. But team GGG are the only ones who can be fault for something and people blame the other side. Never seen anything like this in my life. But like Gab Rosado said, they're very good at manipulating the public.

Lololol. We've known about this date from the beginning. Jacobs was gonna fight at Barclays around then. They had negotiated for over a month, and then got an extension. And now Rozier is saying it's too soon, they haven't even started training. But team Ggg will accommodate cause they want his scalp on Gggs resume and they've never had him this cornered.

What? They only ever said it was a prospective date that they had reserved, although they were hoping to make the fight in time for that. Maybe they could have done, but the length of the negotiations and the time it'll take Jacobs to prepare precluded that. Maybe some fans are spinning it as if that somehow makes it all Jacobs fault but neither Loeffler or Abel are, both have been quite candid about saying that's just how things go. So why are you trying to trying to spin it like this is some kind weird manipulation from GGGs team?

Why not simply criticise the fans that are making the noise, if that's what got you bothered?

Still, whilst it seems that would have been Loeffler's prefered date and it sounds like they would have rather Golovkin fight again this year, they're not making a big deal over it, unlike some posters on here. This is just the way things go sometimes.

Because only one side told the fans the fight was gonna be on Dec 10th. Jacobs is being blamed for Tom telling everybody the fight would be on Dec 10th when though he wasn't even close to having the fight signed. If you don't have a fight signed & you're in negotiations with a fighter with ties to a different network maybe you shouldn't tell people a fight date until you have a contract signed.

Did they or did they not announce on the 12th that there would be a purse bid? Yes they did. They have until the Friday to negotiate without a bid. That's normal. Purse bids have been called off the day of because fighters reached an agreement
