Andre Ward and Cleverly are two different fighters if he tries to fight Ward how he did Cleverly Kovalev will get shown up.

      His stamina seems weak.

He throws his shots and then clears out to regroup.

There are moments in every round when Kovalev wants to be left alone....he throws his shots and vacates the premises..

He didn't even let his hands go against B-Pops until he saw the finish line.

          Hopkins has ZERO offense.

Kovalev had nothing coming back at him...yet...he didn't jump on B-Pops until the fight was almost over.

Why didn't he jump on his old ass when he dropped him early on?

          Because his stamina sucks.

          Plus

          He squares himself up

You can't drop your hands and square up in front of a guy on Ward's level

          Andre can win without power

          Kovalev cannot.

Cleverly is not anymore after that trouncing by Kov. but he was quick in his prime.

The analogy i'm drawing is mostly due to defensive punching power. There is nothing Cleverly could do to keep Kovalev from unloading on him. This is exactly Ward's dilemma. a pillow fisted mover.

            Kovalev can move with you.

he wore bigger gloves and beat Chilemba convincingly .

btw chilemba at LHW is better than anybody Ward has fought in his entire career.

Let's be real here. Ward is a world class operator, and arguably the best pound for pound fighter in boxing; personally, I have him around 3-5, but you can certainly make an argument he is 1.

GGG made a perfectly fair offer him - to meet him EXACTLY IN THE MIDDLE, 50/50 split... Ward STRAIGHT SWERVED...

Nothing more to talk about, really.

you can't use logic and reason with men raised by single mothers. all they know is emotional turmoil and confusion.

what can Ward do to keep him off? One of those shots will make Ward dance like a ballerina.

I see an absolute mugging to be honest.
How much money have you bet on Kovalev winning?
