Ward offered to fight the coward at 168 you little coward, keep lying to protect your boyfriend.Comment

Ward could very easily make him miss, spoil, tire him out, and leave Kovalev helpless by round 6. He'd counter him hard and leave him constantly shifting and turning. That's the worst strategy Kovalev could use.Comment

I'm thinking this as well. Kovalev has be himself - the heavy handed effective (but not reckless) aggressor that we all know and love. However, I do think that Ward has decent power - his punches are quick, crisp and extremely accurate. If Ward sits down on his punches he can surely do some damage, if he wants to be a puncher he can be a puncher.yeah thats what he should do. the worst thing kovalev can do is show ward too much respect. He just needs to get stuck into him, ward will buckle under the pressure trust me cause hes not used to it, hes been used to fighting bums and getting his own way. Made a thread about it before, i think ggg v brook is the blueprint to follow. Ward has zero power, so kovalev can just walk through his punches
I'm rooting for Kovalev but my gut tells me Ward will find a way to neutralize and outbox him. If you had asked me a year ago, I would've definitely picked Kovalev. Ward has done his preparation and has grown into the weight class. I hope I'm wrong and Kovalev humbles Ward and his vanity. We'll seeComment
