If the bid is $4m, and the winning bid is Lou DiBella, Jacobs ends up entitled to his $1m take of the purse bid, plus his share on the revenues of the event beyond the costs.

Golden Boy got N'Dam-Lemieux for just over $100k, and David Lemieux ended up actually making over $1m on the fight (once the Canadian TV money, the Montreal gate money, the fee from FS2, and other revenues were considered).

Not sure why folks keep ignoring that point.

Lemieux is a draw in Canada, Jacobs is not a draw in America.

Its hardly a surprise for Jacobs that the split is 75/25. They have known it all along and if they werent satisfied, they shouldn't have went for it.

Team Golovkin could negotiate in good faith in order to make a meaningful fight for Hypekin, but they won't..... they will play hardball and force the purse-bid to get their undeserving hypejob more than he is worth..... just like they tried with Canelo.

Jacobs is not GGG equal but 25% is 2 low...@ least 70 - 30 but 65-35 wouldn't be bad ..they need some negotiation on this..

If people are honest with themselves, 25% is very fair indeed. GGG is the real WBA champ, has sold out arenas in NYC, LA and London, is the most talked about active fighter in boxing, gets great numbers on HBO. Danny is the opposite.

However, there is basically no such thing as fair in boxing. And to make this fight, Team GGG are going to have to make concessions. Because Jacobs is not confident in winning this fight at all and wants to be paid serious money. Also because he is one of those special boxers who are advised by the great Al Haymon. If it's 50-50, so be it.

Team Jacobs knew the split from the get-go. If he didnt like it, he should have moved in another direction a long time ago. Now the stage is set to see if he is a man or a mouse. End of.
