Lomachenko has the much bigger frame as well, he isn't talking about moving up for no apparent reason. The difference is too big, it's one of those fights where I can actually see Lomachenko appearing like a massive puncher.

why didn't Loma offer some of his purse money like he did for Axe Man? Frampton hinted he could do 124 for Rigo, but then later ditched out after seeing what happened to ****ens..

Rigondeaux had his chance. Loma is moving on to bigger and better things, while Rigo can keep crying and whining.

There is no better thing than a Rigo match for Loma. It's the most competitive fight that he could make in the near future.

              I agree with this guy!

              Kudos!

Loma let it be known from the jump he wasn't waiting around...

Think of it this way: Loma's next opponent is probably not going to be someone big like Gamboa, and he's still not big enough for Manny or Crawford (and even if he was those fights would need time to simmer)... So WHY NOT ask for a once in a lifetime fight like Loma-Rigo... which is better than ALL those fights?

I wanted to see the fight as well, but I'm glad Loma didn't stay and wait for Rigo to make up his mind. What was Rigo going to do? Waste several years of Loma's career and then finally decide if he'll fight him or not? I'm glad Loma moved on. He's on to better and bigger things. Rigo is going to just sit there, rot and keep on telling himself and anybody who will listen how everybody was scared of him while Loma was more than willing to fight him.
And Rigo fans will keep saying that Rigo is better than Loma, but all I know is that he had the chance to prove it and didn't.

I think you're being too harsh on Rigo. Wasn't Walters difficult in the first round of negotiations and didn't that fight fall through at first? Who's to say that they won't be able to work something out a second time if they bring a slightly bigger offer back to Rigo. What's the harm in trying? It makes no sense to consider this fight dead when Loma has recently said he can still fight at 126.

I think the main reason this fight won't happen is Arum. Arum is terrified of Loma losing a "boring" decision to Rigo.

And I'm nothing but a huge fan of both guys...both define the sweet science and operate on the highest and most professional level. I don't even know who I would be pulling for.

I feel like I'm being too nice to him.
Yeah, Walters wanted to be a little diva because he knew people would blame Loma just like they always do. But in the end he is only making 50,000 more than the original offer. Sounds like a super intelligent guy.
If the Rigo fight happens cool but I don't want Loma's team to pursue it. Rigo doesn't have much time left and his team is only wasting it by waiting and waiting.
And Loma will not lose to Rigo. I'm super confident in that. There's a reason why Rigo and his team don't want it although they pretend they do.
