    Kov/Ward and Fury/Ortiz are better.

But it is a great fight, and one I've been waiting for. One we deserve as fans.

Yes Bar none... There's more talent in the ring between Loma and Rigo than between Kovalev and Ward.

There is no matchup right now that can be made in boxing that pits two more talented fighters against one another...

And it speaks volumes to the state of boxing that no one wants to see it...

Facts: Both Loma and Rigo can meet at 126. Loma is still not too big.

Loma will NEVER have the opportunity to face a quicker and more technically sound fighter than Rigo.

Even Manny is not a quick as Rigo, and Manny is not the boxing mastermind that Rigo is... The same applies to Crawford... Manny and Crawford are dangerous because of their power and size....

Rigo is smaller than Loma but yet presents a different kind of risk ( BEING OUTBOXED)... and losing a decision... and for the two time Olympian, that would be a painful loss for Loma.

Yeah, Walters wanted to be a little diva because he knew people would blame Loma just like they always do. But in the end he is only making 50,000 more than the original offer. Sounds like a super intelligent guy.
If the Rigo fight happens cool but I don't want Loma's team to pursue it. Rigo doesn't have much time left and his team is only wasting it by waiting and waiting.
And Loma will not lose to Rigo. I'm super confident in that. There's a reason why Rigo and his team don't want it although they pretend they do.
I disagree. Loma should pursue it. Try at least one more time before giving up for good. What do they have to lose?

I don't think Rigo is scared of Loma either. Rigo's team might be scared, but the same can be said of Arum being scared that Loma will get outpointed in a "boring" decision. However, I do not think that Loma gets embarrassed like Donaire did, nor do I think Loma will KO Rigo. It will be a chess match that boxing fans and fighters will watch for ages to come.

Neither Loma or Rigo is afraid. Rigo has nothing to lose, his career is almost done, nothing to lose. Loma fought overweight Salido is his second fight, doesn't look like he really cares about beauty of the record.
Arum doesn't want this fight though imo. He wants to move Loma up, where at least some money could be made. Rigo is unpopular and unfortunately it's his own damn fault. Same applies to Loma, but he has a chance still.

Right, Loma losing to Rigo derails Arum's big plans for Loma at the bigger weight divisions. This is a fight for hardcore boxing fans only really. Probably why it's so difficult to get made.

But what other fighter is going to bring out the best of Loma to the degree that Rigo will? And vice versa. I think the fight will have more action than people suspect, because both guys will be pressing every round to stay up on points. Neither guy will be able to coast.

Also, even though this isn't a huge payday for either fighter, the prestige of winning to such an accomplished opponent is worth more than any amount of money.

No, Rigo says he will fight at 126, same with Loma. Weight is not an issue. It's about money.

at 3:45 interviewer asks Loma who will make Loma the best if he beats them (catapulting him to the top of the p4p rankings).... He does not mention Rigo... For shame...

If Rigo were to move up to 126 it may keep the hopes for the fight alive.
I think Rigo should risk going to 126. I think he can beat most if not all of the current fighters there. But he's not getting any younger he has to do something soon. The door is closing.
If Rigo can make some noise at 126 then maybe Loma would be willing to go back down to face him there.
That's the only way I can think of that would make Loma reconsider facing Rigo. Even if Rigo doesn't fight Loma I still wouldn't mind seeing him at 126. I think he can do some damage. His team needs to have more confidence in him.
                    They better do something soon.

I agree that Rigo needs to move fast, but I disagree that he need to make noise or prove himself at 126 first Rigo has already proven himself to such an extent that everyone is afraid to fight him... Rigo and Loma have already tried to negotiate too... they just need renegotiate... Rigo's star power is where it always was... And most importantly, a win over Rigo elevates Loma higher on the p4p rankings more than a win over any other fighter right now...

It's a bit ridiculous that Arum is willing to throw Loma in with Manny and not Rigo..
