Mayweather has a very good resume but there are better ones out there. However, ranking someone historically isnt just based on who you faced but also when you faced them and how you beat them. Mayweather lags behind in those categories.

he got outclassed vs Raheem, who isn't even considered a great fighter

I remember Morales requesting a catchweight, he couldn't make 130 anymore

it didn't happen, pac got the weight he wanted, 130 and the gloves he wanted, ironically his die hard fans bring up the mayweather v maidana debacle

but after morales beat him, the excuses were the gloves, leg cramps and drug testing weakening him.....I didn't make this stuff up, I was following the sport back then

9/10 if you are consistently fighting for titles and fighting current or former champions you are fighting some of the best in your division

of course guys like Burns who isn't elite , can slip in a title win, but its short lived and its usually because the opponent was not a top fighter to begin with.
