Just in case the OP had in mind my recent conversation with ReddFox as one of the examples, I've never changed my mind, for the record I would (maybe even heavily) favor Golovkin, but I always thought Canelo would be his biggest challenge out of todays middleweights. Nothing changed since the Brook fight, nor after Floyd picking Canelo.

You seriously didn't just compare 97K's boxing skills to Mayweather and Lara did you? lol.

It's called "PSYOPS"! Psychological Operations, people are trying to empower Canelo to see if he gains some confidence and decides to fight GGG. Not hard to figure out. lol

Most people are fickle and change their opinions on a whim without bothering to use their brains. 'OMG GOLOVKIN GOT HIT BY BROOK.' 'OMG CANELO DESTROYED SMITH'.

It's even funnier how Canelo went from "OMG KO ARTIST" after Kirkland, to "featherfisted bum couldn't KO little Cotto", and now back to "OMG CANELO'S POWER IS OUT OF THIS WORLD" after Khan and Smith.
It's nowhere near 50/50 at the bookies. Like Chavez Jr says, Canelo is gonna be on the run in this one, which will be a sight to see with his cement feet

yeah, keep seeing that 'its a 50/50 fight', no, no it isnt. As you said, bookies have got it lopsided, and pretty much everyone in the real world who i speak to says GGG's going to win, not heard one say canelo yet although had a couple say it could be competitive. Was my reason for this thread, dont know why the fights being suddenly made out to be a 'pick em' fight on this forum

Well Wilder is Olympian too,GGG is not on Lara or Floyd level in pure boxing. He is not plodder and its not fair, you calling canelo plodder is not fair too,Canelo in pure boxing is maybe better thhan ggg.

So I guess Park Si-hun and Serafim Todorov are superior boxers to Roy Jones Jr and Floyd Mayweather? GTFO. Amateur, while important in one's career, doesn't mean **** in the pros.

Besides, his amateur days were more than a decade ago. He's gotten older and slower.

Put him against a person his size that's a good pure boxer and let's see how foolish he'd look. Infact, Brook was having success out boxing him early on.

And yes, he is a plodder with a hard punch.

Honestly, this has always been a close fight. That's why it's a good fight. If Canelo really didn't have a **** ass of a chance, what the hell would be the point in making the fight in the first place?

I think it's just that Max Kellerman would probably suck GGG's **** if given the chance, and HBO's crew talk about him so much, that BS talk influences the masses.

You can say this and that about one guy or the other, the fact remains, it's a pretty close fight and it wouldn't be shocking if Canelo did win.
