Well Robin Reid and Bernard Hopkins were both pretty close actually. I personally had Joe winning both, and you can say he had a terrible night against Reid. But you could make an argument for the other fighter in both those fights so your statement is wrong.

I personally can't see Joe dealing with a prime Jones at 168, although he would have given him a tougher fight than most fighters around that time, he would have got stopped I think, Jones would have used his aggressiveness against him in a good action packed fight whilst it lasted.

i had him beating hopkins pretty comfortably, didnt watch the reid fight but heard calzaghe didnt look his best although was a clear winner. nah, calzaghe schooled jones, jones was old but so was calzaghe. Wuld have been closer in primes, but calzaghe was too smart for him. Two all time greats but calzaghe was just that bit better.

'I heard' is not good enough. Don't hear, watch! Don't make statements based on hearsay, back it up with evidence and opinion based on something tangible. Roy was much further gone than Calzaghe, so agree to disagree. I had Calzaghe-Hopkins 114-113 but can see a swing in either direction.

Either way both fights were scored a split decision, so they were close which contradicts your statement about no one coming close.

Interesting matchup.. Joe was a slick operator & had super fast hands.. Its a close one to call, but I think Joe probably by SD/MD

Regardless of what people think about Calzaghe, he is a very intelligent fighter. He would would be slipping and turning GGG all night. When he's not shoe shining, he does have a good straight left and shoots it with power. I think Joe outboxes GGG, or get a late stoppage. On the other hand, Joe does have a weak chin, so if GGG is able to connect well he could hurt Joe and finish him off, but if i have to pick, i will pick Joe.

Well with wins over Roy Jones and bhop I'd have to give the nod to Calzaghe(sarcasm and heavy disdain). Smh. Was this posted by Enzo? Your boy gets smashed hard enzo.

Scrolled through . There are actually people who want to credit joecal with wins over two legends and aren't (dis)qualifying those wins by putting them in context. Is Tarver an atg too. Is Kovalevs best win Bhop. We got some future politicians on this board. Very dishonest....

tbh i had forgot about the reid fight and im not going to watch the whole thing so i can refer to it on a forum lol. Hopkins fight was not close, calzaghe landed literally double the amount of punches hopkins did, that 114-113 card was disgusting. i had calzaghe winning 9 rounds out of 12, although hopkins got that early flash knockdown so 116-111. same as lederman scored it

Yeah? You know another fight where one fighter landed nearly double the other fighter and universally dominated on most scribes and respectable media outlets?

Andre Ward - Total punches 243/573 vs Carl Froch - Total punches 156/683

A fight you were citing yesterday as CLOSE because of the 115-113 scorecards. So I guess on that occasion the scorecards were accurate? Because you say so? You can't use official scorecards when it suits your agenda and disagree with them when it doesn't, at least be consistent with your convictions you little maggot troll. LOL

You are the sorriest excuse of a man...sorry boxing fan I have seen for a while.

two completely different fights. The shots ward were landing werent clean shots, and froch was pressing the action, whereas calzaghe was tagging hopkins repeatedly and also fighting on the offensive. And it wasnt double the punches so pointless example really. WHat is it with posters getting so aggressive when someone disagrees with them, bizarre.
