Tough call. People forget how good Joe was at "ajusting" during the fight. Plus Joe would be slightly bigger... If he could survive the first half of the fight, i think GGG could get frustrated from the movement, and make mistakes, losing the second half on points. I would have loved to see Calzaghe against Froch. That fight would have been insightful as regards to how he could/would perform against GGG.

Prime against prime I like GGG to win by KO. GGG is enough better fighter to make up for Joe's size advantage. GGG is famous as a puncher but he is a great boxer when he needs to be. He would walk through Joe's punches that did land and he would use his accurate powerful jab and his skill at cutting off the ring to corner him and finish him in my opinion.

"Prime" Calzaghe had healthy hands and didn't "slap". But, that era was mostly frittered away on awful competition.
Imagine the limited success Brook had coming from a much larger man with better footwork, volume, cardio and you have your answer.
That's no slight on Golovkin as I'd pick Calzaghe over all but a few at 168.
