IBF not long ago was just as funny.they actually have 3 " champions " in every weight class LMAO
super, regular, interim
super champion = the actual WBA champion
regular champion = the WBA #1 contender
interim champion = I have no idea who this guy is supposed to be LMAO
the WBA announced a while back that they are aware of the situation, they admitted that the situation is unacceptable, and they promised to remove the bull**** titles as they become vacant
this is apparently one step in that direction
but it is annoying that in 2 years time Golovkin will claim to have beaten Hopkins record by defending a title that..... 1) did not exist back when Hopkins was king..... and 2) no longer exists as it was removed by the greedy WBA themselves
and yep, that is actually going to happen SMH
and a lot of f@gs on this site will support it
IBF Champion: GGG
Interim or was it vacant ''regular?'' or ''#1'': Tureano Johnson
#2: vacant
#3 (runner up to Interim position): Dominic WadeComment

Wtf... If Jacobs is holding out for a purse bid it's not gonna end well for him. What's this fight worth? 4 million maybe tops...that's $1 million for ya Jacobs. Less than 1 Quillen and you want more than 2 Quillens to fight GGG....
these guys want the money people get for fighting Floyd and Manny yet everyone claims GGG is a nobody...how's that work out?Comment

Why do they need Jacobs so badly? If Jacobs won't accept the reported 70/30 offered or the 75/25 mando split what do they actually lose? At this point it's quite apparent Golovkin's never gonna be some kind of PPV mega-star so why should he bother just going for 'break even'? Are you suggesting that if Golovkin - Jacobs doesn't get made (without GGG losing the WBA trinket) it has some bearing on whether Canelo - GGG happens? I don't quite understand your reasoning. Why would they be bogus? Because they would be making a decision to facilitate a fight that is good for boxing? Because they would be aligning with other boxing organizations regarding fixed splits for fights between champions within the organization?
Also, K2 is on record as saying they deserve a 60-40 split against Alvarez so what makes you so sure they would have accepted 70-30?
How can K2 argue they deserve more than the flat fee plus upside against Alvarez if they don't secure a fight with Jacobs. In essence, K2 needs Jacobs and his value to them is much greater than the less than 1M he would likely get in a purse bid. Just like with Lemieux, K2 better choose the break even route or they risk losing out on more than the extra 1.5M Jacobs is looking for.Comment
. Too many fumes on the way to the airport.
