No double standards. GGG is here to be the savior to boxing in rid the sport of all the "bidness". I commend him for it.
Now is the perfect time to not be a business man and roll with 70-30 like he said he would.Comment

sure, if Jacobs could sell tickets or UK ppv buys. But he cant even sell out HALF of Barclays against a fellow NYer...............Comment

Hell if I know. That's why I suggest that K2 take the break even route to get Jacobs in the ring.
And Haymon hasn't run out of money. Just like most businesses, he invested heavy in the beginning to get the product to a steady state. Now that the stable is built and the time slots are regular, he doesn't have to overpay. Quite simple.Comment

Exactly. That's why I said that Jacobs has the time to try to negotiate a better deal with whatever it is he can bring to the table.
But deadline for pursebid nears and his team is crying to WBA for help. It's like wtf?Comment

You're referring to a slippery slope of what "could" happen in the future. We could all get hit by a comet and die Jan 1st, 2017. Who knows what's going to happen in the future. I'm talking about this fight right here, right now.
Did GGG say he's not a business man? Going by his own testimony, he should have no issue with a 70-30 split for the betterment of boxing and the fans.
Only real life cuckhold fans like yourself would agree and "understand" why this fight shouldn't happen over the bidnessComment

Shouldn't that tell you that K2 is using the purse bid guidelines as leverage. Jacobs has stated that he won't fight for less than $2M. So if K2 is focused on split and not total compensation, the only card Jacobs team can play is to ask the WBA to remove that leverage. It's smart. Will it work, who knows. But at least it's an indication that he actually wants to fight and isn't going to fake real negotiations.Comment
