this guy is such a hypocrite and purposefully ignores context. hmmm sounds like most boxingscene posters. does he forget when floyd chose as his first pick to fight marquez? ggg tried to fight canelo, saunders, jacobs, and eubank 4 of the best in his weight class and only then did he settle for brook who would give him a career high payday no less(i thought boxing was a business cept when ggg's fighting?) he only tried to fight 4 top guys in his division why didnt he try to fight unknown lara why did he take the 5 millino dollars! ggg you should have made less money because i hate you thats why!

Brook is literally the only small man he's fought. Ggg wanted floyd but floyd refuses to give his unbeaten record away by avoiding the strongest tests, be it in a bigger man like ggg or even strongest in his own division in brook and Thurmond
Senior better be careful what he says because flood has dined on plenty of smaller men and sur is gonna ruin floods legacy. And most of the bigger men floyd supposedly fought have never been as big as floyd is now. So Castillo, corral else are hardly Giants

The only reason Ward moved up is because he no longer could make weight, also the only reason he is fighting Kovalev is because HBO is putting the pressure, because ward was making smaller men come up or fighting bums, and he was content with that, after the super 6 he has not fought anyone of interest or a top 10 fighter on his weight-class, if it where for him, he still would have been fighting tune up fights, HBO knew that and they where not going to keep on wasting money on him fighting weak opposition.

And no weak ass scenarios, hypotheticals, or assumptions are necessary to reach the conclusion that Ward can't make 168 any more. He hasn't made that weight in 3 years and both he and his trainer have stated that he can't do it any more.
But yeah, if GGG had signed a contract last year agreeing to fight Ward around about now, then GGG's signature on a peice of paper would have had some mysterious and miraculous effect on Andre's body ... blah blah ...
Also, let's be clear, Hunter said he could get Ward to 168, Ward said he didn't think he could NOW. Now that he has trained to be a full time LHW! I guess in your simple mind the only way a fighter gains weight is through natural irreversible growth. Hasn't made the weight and hasn't had a fight contracted at the weight to need to train to be 168.
By the way....repeating the same assumption over and over won't make it truth. You keep stating your weak ass assumptions and opinions with ZERO substance to back them up. You see, there is a difference between "hard to make 168", "would be drained at 168", and "CAN'T MAKE 168". Did DLH make 145 for Pacquiao after fighting at 154?

If Ward could have made 168 after coming back he would have stayed there and defended his title, instead of relinquishing it and starting training to be a full time LHW. Ward IS a fucking LHW!
Obviously, he could make 168 if he wanted to - like Kovalev said recently, he could make 168 or even 160 if wanted to, but whether he could then beat top fighters at 168 or 160 is something else.Last edited by kafkod; 10-03-2016, 01:35 PM.

The more sensible fans should be getting tired of these Golovkin vs Ward threads. They're sickening. We know they're never going to fight because of weight issues. Ward should be getting triple the hate Golovkin gets because he should have ended it a long time ago by simply admitting he can no longer make the weight.
