I'm glad it didn't sell, although if anything I wish it had been the Khan fight that did this badly. Khan more known to the US fans, so I understand it, but that fight was less legit than the Smith one.

We all know it didnt even hit 300k and Oscar is full of ****...you wanna act like Canelo is some huge cash cow but as of now he simply is not... Sure he may be the biggest draw in boxing right now outside of maybe Pacquiao...but it is nothing amazing about his drawing power....Boxing is in a very bad state right now..

...if they knew the fight wasn't going to sell becausr of the state of PPV, and/or because people didnt know Smith...why make the fight? Just can't believe what Oscar and Canelo say...they're out to take your last dollar.

When the numbers come in, they always claim to be pleased or happy with the numbers. In previous articles, they expected 1 million buys for the Khan fight and it was half of that. For this fight, they expected huge numbers. Articles I read insinuted that meant a million buys, but it was no where near and I don't think 250-300 thousand buys would be considered huge if you are the face of boxing. Anyways, I'm sure they turned a profit, just not as much as expected. Better fights will produce bigger profits.
