I'm sure 300K is Inflated but yet he is still the biggest Draw in boxing at the moment. The problem here is that Oscar was running his mouth and mocking Mayweather vs Berto PPV Numbers and mocking Mayweather vs Pacquiao and talking about how GBP was going to make better fights and he flat out haven't delivered yet

If you're going to run your mouth then you must be able to do Mayweather vs Berto PPV Numbers or BETTER, they struggle to reach that without another Star like Cotto.

Boxing being HUMBLED right now and it is needed, let them suffer and lose some money so these Promoters can wake up and learn the hard way that they all need each other and need to start working together. Same for Networks like HBO, same for PBC, Showtime or whoever. If boxing don't start working together to make the best matches then this sport is in SERIOUS TROUBLE at least here in the US.

Connor McGregor is the biggest Draw in Combat Sport now and it is not even close, despite losing he came back and fought Diaz again and did even bigger numbers

No matter how they try to spin it, 200-300k is awful, and here's why:
          1. Trend: Canelo's fights garnered 350k vs. Angulo, 300k vs Lara and ~460k Khan. I'm ignoring Cotto because that was 2 very well known names. The trend shows that Khan indeed had a lot of fans that supported him, and that the generic trend for Canelo shows that he's a ~300k PPV fighter. This is despite Floyd retiring and Pac no longer being a huge draw. For the cash cow of the sport, 300k is not that impressive.
          2. Financials: Canelo's purses today are MUCH higher than they were vs. Angulo (1.25m) and Lara (1.5m). I believe the total rumoured amount for Khan fight was $15M. He wont be able to support $15M purses with 300k PPV buys. Golden Boy may have broken even due to the ~40k live tickets they stole, but they can't put on a show in a stadium every time.

For example, Arum said that Pac-Bradley 3 did 400k-500k PPV buys and that was terrible, with the event losing money. That was because Pac was making between 20-25 mill with Bradley getting 6m.

As another example, Golovkin/Lemieux, which 'only' did 150K can now be put in perspective, since the purses for that fight were 2M for Golovkin and 1.5m for DL.

What this means is that Canelo is probably still the biggest star in boxing, but that statement means significantly less now than it did 3-5 years ago. If Floyd decided to come out of retirement and offer Canelo 80-20, Canelo's gonna shut up and take it.

It's clear that he still is the biggest draw in boxing since no one else can sell that much. The Brook GGG fight did decent but tickets were cheaper and the more popular fighter was Brook.
I saw Stevens and Lemieux were planning to fight to see who gets the next Canelo fight. Sounds like a good idea
but I wouldn't want to see Canelo move to 160 and miss out on the 154 fights available unless there is a guarantee that GGG's team will actually sign on the dotted line.

You're right he would take that fight. Canelo seems to know his place and give props when due. He's taken the back seat in negotiations when needed to make the fight. I think Floyd would be the only guy that is a clear A side to Canelo right now

ironic that a Mexican defending Canelo thinks someone has to be Puerto Rican to know that Canelo and golden boy are making ****** business decisions. Newsflash, 90% of boxing fans think Canelo is a chump for dropping his belt and everyone knows the ppv was a flop. There is only 1 ****** group of fans still defending Canelo and its ****** Mexicans like you. Why do you think Oscar keeps making mismatches like khan and Smith? Because he knows idiots like you will spend all of their landscaping money to still see him fight.
