Sorry but nobody puts on a ppv with the fighter they consider to be the biggest star in boxing and are pleased with under 300k. Especially when he did around that same number on ppv years ago vs angulo. The anticipation is that with time the ppv numbers increase but they haven't. Not to mention the khan ppv didn't crack 500k as they said in this article and thousands of tickets of the 51k attendance vs Smith were given away for free on the day of the fight. Canelo has only 1 potential opponent that will get him close to a million buys again and it's......... Ggg. How horrifying for them.

The mexican fans, prove it that 1000's of tickets were given away on fight night...you are puerto rican ,you are reaching and just plain hating...

I'm sure team fishnets is very pleased with this flop.this also puts to bed the myth that flopnelo is boxing's biggest star lol an old wash up pacquiao has better ppv numbers than him.I bet Pacquiao vs vargas a fight which no one is talking about does better.oh and that 300k gbp claims is for sure a lie its more like 200k or less.I'm happy boxing fans saw through the bull**** and now gbp realizes that ****nelo HAS to fight ggg or his popularity as far as being a ppv draw is concerned will continue to fall.

you're not very smart so let me make it simple enough for a fruit vendor such as yourself to understand. There is no way anyone at Golden is is pleased with around 300k. Especially if you consider that angelo, who was coming off a loss and is not a very popular fighter either among casuals did better numbers with Canelo over 2 yrs ago when Canelo was less popular. His numbers are dropping and even you gullible Mexican fans can't save him. As far as tickets sales, you don't have to be a genius to figure it out Pancho. 2 weeks before the fight only 25k seats were sold, then the day before the fight 40k seats were sold.... You really think they had 11 k people buy tickets on the day of the fight?? If you believe this, you're sniffing more coke than Oscar in fishnets.

                  Confused

GBP keeps saying that Canelo is the biggest draw out there. They said that Canelo is clearly the A side of the Canelo/GGG bout. So you are telling me that out of the 300k buys for Canelo's fight he is a big draw, come on. Why is Canelo fighting a no name at this time in his career. The guy gets hurt basically fighting a stiff and now postpones his next fight for over 9 months, why take that chance.

Casual boxing fans won't be tricked again. They've learned their lesson w/ MayVsPac. Rest-IN-Peace, PAY-PER-VIEW. $70 for a stacked card full of set-up fights. Boxing has become the WWE.
