seriously i m getting sick of hearing of canelo being a big deal , iv always used to think he was decent and still do believe he is talented but he isnt even a top champion in any weight division his first word title was a gift against matthew hatton whos defo wasnt world class the first legit jm world class fighter he faught was in trout and he did not win that convincingly,the judges are well paid off one judge give trout only one round which is defo bs,i didnt think he desrved to get a chance mayweather fight but he got it , judge paid of again to make his record ,to me it seems if he goes the distance it s very hard for the judges who either have a man crush on him or are paid off to get a decision on him than after that he faught lara who he only landed like 15 pow punches to the head and nine jabs and one judge gave lara only 3 rounds, which is a joke , he s ok to watch but he should still be on undercard fights hes not as good as people make him out to be a golden boy are making him out to be a joke smith isnt even a top 10 figher yet he had a gammy title, imo canelo shouldnt headline cards unless he s fighting a top5 oscars making him out to be a complete joke just cause he filled out a stadiam doesnt mean hes world class hes yet to prove hes a tough guy that can take a punch but hes not the best in any weight division

oh lord another person who literally has no clue what lineal means. Lineal has NOTHING to do with Ring they didn't create it and everyone who acknowledges Lineal status has Canelo ranked number 1. And of course you can still hold lineal status regardless if someone else holds a bunch of paper belts that were not won in the ring. THAT'S THE ENTIRE POINT OF LINEAL STATUS! To be the man you have to beat the man and it supercedes any of the alphabet belts. He will hold his lineal status until he is beat or he does not fight in that weight class permanently any more. Ring has always allowed fighters to have fights in multiple weight classes and retain their rankings. See chocalitito right now and see Floyd and Manny over the years. Most famously Floyd holding 154 Ring ranking status despite going 2 years from when he won a title at 152 catchweight until he retired. That entire time he fought strictly at 147 and held ranking in both weight classes.
