Bottom line oscar is a biggity *****. And he is what is wrong with sport. People complain about arum but at least he has been in the game forever and has made some of the biggest most memorable fights in history. Cant deny that. Since Schaefer left oscar seems desperate for money and desperate to hold on to it.

I guess GGG and his fans know nothing about this because he has never and will never move up to another weight class. Floyd and Pacman and many others have been ranked in 2 weight class at the same time.
He hasn't fought at 154 in years besides Smith. His only win at 154 in two-three years is Smith. How can he be #1 at 154 if his only fight at 154 has been against Smith? What he did 3 years ago before moving to caneloweight doesn't count. I guess GGG haters know nothing about this because they are biased. I guess GGG haters know nothing about the obvious conflict of interest of Canelo's promoter owning a ranking magazine because they, due to their huge GGG hate, also have a conflict of interest in this situation.

Chocalatito is currently on both rankings as well at 112 and 115. He is still ring champ at 112 despite him just fighting for the 115 belt which just grabbed him the ring number 2 spot at 115. Why aren't you guys crying about this? It's literally the same situation.

Because he has ALREADY beaten the #2 guy( next highest rank outside of canelo), #4 guy, #7 guy and smith was #8 before canelo beat him now #9. He was also the numerous 1 ranked in the world before he grabbed lineal spot at 160. Him fighting again 154 means he just retaining that standing at 154 and it's just plain ****** to think anyone else should be ranked ahead of him when he has beaten more top 10 154 fighters then anyone else. Hell I don't think anyone in any weight class has beaten 4 of the current top 10 in any weight. Canelo might be the only one right now.

You got too much GGG cum in your eyes if you can't see that canelo is clearly the number 1 154 fighter.

I usually agree with you but Oscar said during the cotto/Canelo fight buildup if the winner of that fight didn't fight triple G next would be stripped of lineal

Technically Canelo has not fought at 154 since 2013. He's technically fought 155, which is middleweight since early 2014 - but at the same time the only middleweight he's fought in those three years is Cotto, who himself never fought at the full 160 limit.

Chocolatito, unlike Canelo, has yet to officially drop his WBC belt at 112. Choc just won the title two weeks ago. Canelo vacated the WBC belt in May. He left middleweight in May. He and his promoter have said time and time again 'Im not a middleweight, I need time to grow to middleweight'. Now he's not coming back until next May.

The Ring is bull**** with their conflicts of interest. Golden Boy gets sued by Stevenson's promoter over Lemieux, and suddenly a week later Stevenson is dropped from the ring 175 belt.

You can't strip lineal status do you people even understand what lineal champ even means? Vacating a WBC title has nothing to do with lineal or ring belt. Only way he losing ring belt is if he doesn't fight a top 160 fighter within 2 years I believe. It hasn't even been a year since he won it against cotto last nov.

WBC has NOTHING to do with this. Dropping that belt does nothing to break lineal status or the ring belt. And he never left the division his camp said they dropping to 154 to fight smith but will be moving up to 160 after that hell he is in negotiations to fight GGG at 160 so how the phuk can you strip him of his ring status at 160? I'll say it again Floyd won a title at catch weight 152 to earn top 154 ring status he then fought strictly at 147 for 2 years and still retained his top status at 154 throughout while also holding ranking at 147. Many fighters have bounced between 2 divisions which is why they keep their rankings just like chocalitito still owns ring belt even though he just moved up. If he doesn't go back down after a while he will lose that 112 ranking.

Not really. Canelo renounced his belt, he was stripped. In addition he said he was returning to 154 for an indefinite amount of time and that he would return to middleweight when his body was ready.

Thats taking yourself out of the equation. One could argue that you could give him some time to return to the division but im not aware of such rule. I am aware that #1 and #2 can fight for lineage and thats what the ring should have done when canelo started this thing of "im leaving and who knows when ill comeback".

But hey, one cant argue against corrupt companies. Time is better spent just boycotting their ppvs.
