nothing new we all knew the money will dry up and they will run a tight ship. Sucks for some fighters what they thought was a huge check for a fight (which it was) ended up being less money they take in for the year, instead of fighting 2 or 3 times for modest checks that would = greater than that single check they just fought once for that sngle check and have to come back after a long layoff.

Thought people wanted PBC to fail and go away right? Now they asking "What Is Going On With PBC?"

I don't think anything is going on, Olympics may have ruined Summer Plans for them. Too late to setup fights in October, November is Full so maybe a December return with hopefully some big match ups just have to wait and see but I thought people would be HAPPY that it hasn't been much PBC lately base on the way some bash it

Totally agree, it's not just PBC, it's everwhere you look..

I remember just 10 years ago:

Hbo had several PPv caliber draws
            Oscar
            Roy
            Barrera
            Morales
            Manny
            Hopkins
            Shane
            Vargas
            Tito
            Floyd
Plus guys like margarito, marquez, Cotto, tarver, taylor, winky, forest, zab, Juan diaz, klitchkos, toney

            Showtime had:
            Hatton
            Lacy
            Calzaghe
            Freitas
            Casamoyer
            Corrales
            Castillo
            Tsyzu
            Dawson
            Peter
Plus had shobox with a lot of great prospect fights

Foxsports had those "best damn boxing" cards by goossen

Espn still did Friday night fights

But boxing never built for the future, no structure, too much crap, too many disappointed fans that eventually walked away from the sport

Haymon should have just stayed advising fighters he was making good coin and not having to spend much money, he had an ambitious goal but man its tough to do he wanted to make boxing mainstream again but UFC is too dominant with the youth.

I dont think PBC is going to last much longer, its boring to me dont see anyone talk about it, its not popular at the watercooler. His strategy is weird as well, no ring girls, and no fighter chosen walk out music, I heard he picks their music too.

The only way PBC would have worked is if Haymon had a personality and was like Dana White doing interviews and larger than life. Haymon is too secretive, he doesnt talk to media hides in the shadows, how the hell is he going to succeed in bringing boxing to the masses if he doesn't man up and speak to the press and do tv shows etc.

haymon has more champions than ever. haymon has more power than ever.

arum has less power than ever.

de la hoya has one fighter.

rafael is a simple minded guy looking at things in the most simplistic way possible.

look at the big picture and you see that haymon is in a better position than ever to eventually monopolize US boxing.

for one boxers are weaker in general, this entire generation of men are pussified/americanized etc and they dont want no real challenges.

second, haymon move affected everyone hard, left gbp pretty much fighterless, left showtime no fights, hbo had only top rank to deal with and arum is off his rocker more than ever.

third haymon might have did something irreversible for the near and foreseeable future, he paid networks that generally used to pay THEM for the fights now those networks might not want to buy boxing content anymore.

I think 2017 will be a great year for boxing cause all these figthers that sat out last this year are gonna want to come back cause that wallet has to be feeling it right about now and time is wasting so I can see fighters leaving haymon to make fights with other networks (this is probably why haymon started playing ball with other networks).
