GG is on the rise. Canelo is on the verge of moving up to MW and his rep has taken a huge hit. Realistically, Canelo will never fight above MW at the highest level. GG now has Jacobs and BJS who want to fight him, whilst Canelo is injured and will need at least one low level tune up at MW. If GG gets to Jacobs and BJS for next year, he'll have a bigger fan base and all of the MW belts. So where would that leave ginger? Even if GG can't get the fights he wants at MW, he can move up. Although Canelo is younger, GG is currently in a much better position. He brings excitement. Canelo is now getting ridiculed by his own countrymen.

im just glad this isnt coming from a canelo fan, but by the way chuck floyd went to oscars weight to make the fight, in this case canelo will be going to gggs ... ggg is being offered a fortune for this fight at the weight he demanded... first it was 160 or no fight, now they want floyd-many type of splitt...

And how big of a pay day does Canelo turn down by not offering GGG a better deal? How much less money will Canelo earn from fighting a someone like Smith for his next fight then he would have gotten fighting GGG at say a 70/30 split? Likely more than $10 million right?

Here's the simple truth. Canelo is 26 and proven ppv seller for HBO. Ggg is 34 and not a proven ppv seller. Ggg will never see that type of money ever for the rest of his career which is 3-4 years tops. Canelo is young and has the backing of HBO to sell whatever bs ppv he wants to put on because he brings in mexican fans. Ggg has mexican fans but they don't buy his ppv's. Canelo can wait out Ggg and fight the next big boxing star because time is on his side. Ggg has maybe 2-3 big fights left in his career which will not generate anywhere close to him fighting Canelo. Canelo can literally fight anyone he wants and sell it.
